Re: '66 Sunbeam Minx Project - F20C/6sp/4-link/Discs...

looking at the pics i kinda wondered if you couldve made a flange adapter that mount off the bulkhead and would rotate the 2000 cilinder 45 degrees and use a little longer pushrod in it

Thanks, I'm "theastronaut" on TheSamba too. Are you're talking about the '55 International build on here? I don't remember posting it over there, other than mentioning that I was restoring it at work.

Sure I could have done a 45* adapter (and another one to get to the full 90*) But then the lines would not have reached, and there would have been more adapters/fittings...

So this was the cleaner way to go short of pulling the engine and making new lines.

Couldn't have asked for better! The thing just wants to freakin take off!!! Ride is not a stiff as I expected, pretty nice/sport ride. Handles really flat so far.

Sounds pretty good to me. It's no V8 but at higher revs it reminds me of a Cosworth.

Sweet. Let me know if you need any help with the painting and detailing. I just got a new job at a metal fab shop doing painting and powder coating.
