Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I'd ask two people to help pick the color
1) your painter 2) superflysteiny....he only makes magazine trucks you know

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Here is my 2 cents silver with red is timeless it will never go out of style it will never grow old no matter how many cars are painted silver with red interior. Stick with your first colors I think it will be sick as hell

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
If you want a cover stay away from white and black very rare to see the color on a cover because they don't photograph well. Just so you know I am painting my 40 silver with red interior. With polished wheels and a ton of polish on the motor and frame. You can't go wrong. If you were building this truck with stock trim then I would tell you to go with a stock color. But your not. If you don't want silver then decide do I want solid, metallic, pearl or candy. Try to stay away from candy or your painter will hate you. I think the truck need to be metallic or solid can't go wrong with ether. If you want to see some really cool solids go to tcpglobal.com and look at restoration shop paint. The truck rocks man can't wait to see what you decide for a color. Again silver will alway be in style cant go wrong.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I think silver w/ red is a great combination. The first vette I ever saw with that scheme nearly stopped my heart! lol But, your truck will look stellar with the combo there is no doubt
But..(you knew it was comin) As lolife said, those original paint colors with new paint/clear are amazing, the only reason my truck is not an original light blue color is because it was originally red and I just wanted to keep it red. Heck, even the original yellow looks fantastic on these trucks! Either choice will be the right one, you will just have to pick the one YOU can live with.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
You could always try a gray instead of a silver, like Audi's Dolphin Metallic. It is a gorgeous, deep gray.
However, I like what Supa'Fly said. Build YOUR truck. You've been building it for 8 yrs. Do what you like. Besides, there is prolly a reason why you see many silver trucks with red interiors. |

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I know you're not going to go for this,... but that factory bright yellow would be sweet.
(you either like or HATE yellow) I like it.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
Really, no matter what you do....it'll be something that someone has done before unless you do some wild graphic (don't )
Your vision was silver with red....it'll look very classy...and yours would be the first 67 with trim in a silver with red interior I've seen....plus....none have had those 6 lug rims
