Nice work to the truck! Enjoy driving it around. Your nephew is a cutie too! Once you get the truck dropped a bit, it'll really look sweet!

I'm trying to start him young.... Doesn't help when his mom is super earth friendly and organic and natural everything lol and yes once I bring it down it should give the truck a nice attitude!

Well I know I wouldn't say anything about the shipment of cpp parts.... Oops... I've said to much...

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

Dude, if your sister is super envirostitious and believes your truck to be the sourse of earth's demise, just remind her that your truck is made from 98% recycleable and decomposeable natural organic minerals, and can run on Crude oils which require less of the toxic refining required for modern "eco-friendly" automobiles! I'm sure more than 90% of your truck was rebuilt using recycled post-consumer parts too! You are doing more for the environment by minimalizing the footprint of factories by decreasing the production demands as well as decreasing land fill accumulation with all your recycled components! Who's more eco-friendly NOW!

Luckily she likes old cars and because of me believe the truth about them being more good to the environment then the newer cars

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

Ok guys got a question... What's the advantage to having the cpp 63-72 adjustable bent deluxe rear trac bar, versus the cpp 63-72 adjustable straight deluxe trac bar? Does the bend allow the trac bar to be closer to the axle?

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

The bent trac bar allows you to run an aftermarket diff cover which won't fit with a straight bar.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

Well I had to take the coils out and I let it just rest down without coils to get an idea of what it would look like it doesn't look bad at all. And I've been wondering which caps will look the best... I just can't make up my mind at all and I don't know why.. It's between the 67 caps and the 68 nova caps here's the nova cap

I vote for the Nova/chevelle/camaro caps until you get the 67 caps chromed. Maybe a beauty ring also...just my .02.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

Well I decided it was time to sand off the all of the bondo and primers the PO used on the driver bedside, turns out the bed is well.. WAS really nice under the bondo, now I am not a professional body guy but I do understand that if fill a damaged area even if it's only an inch of damage you have to fill around the damaged area as well to sand it down and make it all straight and uniform... But this guy just put bondo on the ENTIRE bedside, so I've got it pretty much down to bare metal need sand it some more but for now I'm going to make a trip to the store and get some primer here's some pics

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

Well Rick, remember that spray bomb primer is porous. So it looks like it's time to do some metal work and spread some filler. I don't like "Bondo" brand. It sands hard and shrinks over time. I like to use "Rage", it's a little more expensive but I think it's worth it. Buy a spray gun at hf and spray a good primer and you'll see a difference my friend. ...

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

Yeah the spray paint is very crappy compared to real primer with a paint gun but I'm trying to get away from the spray paint. And the "bondo" brand I agree is complete garbage, my brother lives in Sacramento And he's been wanting me to come over so we can start doing body work and spray some real primer on so I've got the spray primer on so it's easy to sand down and get back to bare metal... Probably going to have parts if the truck in primer during Rene's show but oh well the trucks a project anyway who cares if it looks like one
