Re: Die-cast 67-72
Not any details other than it seems the same as the wix blazers with a different paint scheme.

Nice. Is that a Hot Wheels '70 Blazer you did?

Re: Die-cast 67-72
it started as a Norman Rockwell green with a mural on top. I took it apart and painted it medium blue and white to match my 72 only I left it two wheel drive but painted the gold wheels silver. (not my picture)

I have another unmolested Norman Rockwell Blazer or I would not have opened that one.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
Had a pretty good score the last couple days. Yesterday, I picked up the Stars & Stripes '67 HW at Walmart and a 1/32 Just Trucks '72 in blue. I showed much restraint leaving another Stars & Stripes and 2 of the Walmart exclusive yellow/gold '69 Customs on the pegs.
Today I found this at the grocery store and it rang up $4.99! My favorite Hitch & Tow so far.

I really like that one Hookem! I'll have to search for that one around here.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
I haven't seen any of the blue '67 or the stars & stripe '67s in any stores. I did find a stars & stripes at a swap meet for $3. On Easter weekend I had to pass up on a toy show I like to go to, because I had the whole family coming the next day and my daughter & grandson were here from CO. I mainly hoped to find a good GL to buy. I never saw this Hitch & Tow and I bet there would have been one there. I really like this one. Love the truck. The only other H & T I've bought is the yellow truck/flatbed, just to get that trailer and a decent Plain Jane truck example. I'm not really into buying these for the huge package they make. I realize the protectors GL puts all their stuff in is a good thing, except it makes them bulky and I can't get the truck out w/o destroying the packaging. I'm fine with a simple card/blister pack and I'll be responsible for keeping it protected. With that stuff I can buy two, one to take out (that I could return to package) and one to leave intact. I'm not going to buy two Hitch & Tows, those extra ones will fill a box up fast and put me in the poor house

Re: Die-cast 67-72
The Blue/White '67 is the last one I am currently hunting. I saw some HW Hot Trucks on the pegs at Walmart the other day, but the Blue/White '67 was not among them.

I finally found a second Stars & Stripes truck last week, so I could set one free. I've got the full collection to-date now.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
I just found two more stars and stripes this morning on the way into work. I have a total of 5 now. One for each of my daughters , one in the package and two out. I see the blue and white C10 a lot at Target stores around here. The black and gold truck are full in cases at Kroger. I have a ton of them for customs. Nice picture 1badgmc.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
Thanks.
It looks like the collectors in my area have gotten all the Stars & Stripes sets they want. I found 2 stores today with at least 3 full sets of the series. |

Re: Die-cast 67-72
A new Greenlight series due out in May - Blue Collar Collection Series 1: '68 Chevy C-10 w/ ladder rack
I suspect there will be several old Chevy trucks in the Blue Collar Collection.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
Blue collar series. Finally attention given to the actual purpose of a truck and the people they were made for! I guess next the ladder racks on my '72 will become en vogue

Re: Die-cast 67-72
How much are these hitch and tow sets down there? Up here they charge $30 plus. I bought the Smokey and the Bandit edition but I can't justify any more.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
I just picked up the tow and hitch red 68 that Hookem posted this past weekend at Target for 9.99. It's a really nice piece.

Here's the newest '67 C10 that Hot Wheels will be releasing in a few months. It will be a Wal-Mart exclusive ZAMAC.

Re: Die-cast 67-72
I'm glad they finally started using the '67 casting. IIRC, there was almost a year between the first and the second.

The first release of the '67, the red one, was in the 2013 Q case, the final case of the year, so it started hitting stores around August/September of 2013. The second release, the yellow flamed truck, was first seen in the 2015 K case around June of 2015. So yeah, it was a long stretch between the first two. |
