i am using a truck frame and that rear section is a suburban frame that has been cut off i will cut it to fit and weld it to the truck frame as the rear bumper bolts directly to it so it is just hanging there not attached good eye!!!

working on it got to order all the new frontend bushings an waiting on some other things to come in

No much to update i got everything ready to fire it up got the key working the fuel pump was hooking up the starter and broke the small post off need to pick up a new starter maybe next weekend i was bummed!

All you really need is the starter solenoid. Much less $$$

None locally i would have done that first i hope you dont believe i wouldnt have checked that out i even hit every junk yard within an hour drive for a full starter no dice!! Thanks Ron

it doesn't look like anything exotic. years ago one used to be able to buy a solenoid repair kit, which consisted of pretty well everything on the plastic end. usually it is just the contacts inside(the round disc) that caused the problem. you may be able to rob a post from another old one unless you cracked the cap. starter solenoids do not seem to have changed much in 70 0r 80 years esp on the cap end
just cannot understand the unavailability of finding one
