Re: SANFORD build thread
you are right about the seals but i have a spare set that I tape in place when I get to the final point to keep everything in place. I bet after it is painted and the seals are glued in place I will definitely still have to do some tweaking.

Re: SANFORD build thread
Thanks a ton Flip that does help, they look great. However I am a little unsure if mine will turn out as well as yours but I needed a reference. Thanks. Let me know if I can return the favour.

Re: SANFORD build thread
Hi there, Nice build and great skills. I was wondering what you did to fix your pinion angle?>? And the pic of your LCAs aired out shows the bag rubbing the side of the cup, did you ever had any problems with that down the road>?
Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work Have a good week.

Re: SANFORD build thread
Thanks, as far as the pinion angle goes I had to wait until I had the engine and trans in it's final location, at that point I set the rearend at the same angle only the rear was a positive angle and the trans was a negative angle. It keeps both u-joints in the same plain as far as angles go. Although it does'nt look it there is probably a 1/2 inch clearance around the bag. Thanks for looking.

Man this is awesome work, with your attention to detail, when you get to paint time you will have no trouble turning out an awesome finish.

Re: SANFORD build thread
here is a long over due post. I am still working on paint a body work as time allows, I am currently fitting a repop door on the passenger side and also bought another hood and have to replace the front panel. I have been going back and forth on just taking it somewhere to finish the paint and body work but I don't know. I have never had anyone paint something like this for me. anyway Thanks for looking.

Re: SANFORD build thread
Wow that was some extensive hood repair. The repairs look nice. Where did you get your repair panels from?

Re: SANFORD build thread
thanks aggie I got the front panel from fixmyrust.com it fit really well for an aftermarket piece.I also removed both inner structure braces and had them blasted then sprayed them with dp90 before re-installing them.Hopefully to never have rust issues again. I also ended up not using the repop door as it would take a lot of work to make it fit.I repaired my original door and went from there.

Re: SANFORD build thread
A few more of body work,I have broken the body back down to finish up yhe cab and then I hope to be spraying color within the next month.Took a lot of time for panel fitment and gapping. it is a long way from perfect but it is a little better than the way it came]

Re: SANFORD build thread
Very nice work on the hood repair!
I wish that I would have taken that direction with mine! When I realized that I should have, I was almost done fixing it! Is that thing going to get any closer to the ground?...Could have missed it, but still asking.

Re: SANFORD build thread
Thanks guys, you are absolutely right Clem I Have worked on this thing so long it seems like it will never end. Unfortunately I just had back surgery last week for a herniated disc so I will be out of commission for a little while, I have just about decided I am going to let someone else finish painting it after the first of the year. Got a few more pics coming soon.
