I am looking to do the frame components a hammer tone finish or some type of textured black. Maybe a darker silver like argent, I want to low light it we can call it not high light. Just want to draw some attention but not too much, it is only a frame after all

I am liking this silver vein semi gloss.

This weekend I plan to get my 6 lugs rear axles swapped over to the 5 and get my rear disc's mocked up Hopefully get some work started on the cab as well.

Just ordered up my Boyd Welding rear bed fill tank today with the group buy. You guys need a tank you better get on it, 6 days left. 299 shipped, Cant beat it.

Well, had big plans this weekend for Home Grown, unfortunately all i was able to get accomplished was mounting the cab back to the chassis. My 5 yr old son started Kindergarten this morning so we spent the weekend doing the family thing

On a side note I did sell my bed sides to someone locally on Craigslist. It hurt to let them go for next to nothing, but they are of no use to me any longer.

Got some things done this weekend

- Swapped out the ECE drop spindles for my CPP modulars
- Installed new CPP 2 inch drop springs
- Finished installing the front tubular x member from Porterbuilt
- Finished bolting in rear c notch pieces
- Installed air lines to rear bags, temporary for now, but atleast it supports itself.
- Started body mock up, WOW it looks like a truck

We ran into some major issues with the bed reassy. When we set the bedsides down onto the bed floor once the ft bed side panel was installed the front of the bed sides wouldn't lay down on the floor.

Then once the bed was on the truck the body lines wouldn't line up

The only solution we came up with so far was to unbolt the bedside panel from the floor, now it all fits perfect.

I cant recall taking any spacers or washers out when I dis assembled everything, but I think I may just measure the diff and go to the shop and get a piece of aluminum square stock that fits and drill holes for a large lengthy spacer?

Am I missing the boat here on something? It doesn't seem possible that a bed side could be constructed that incorrectly, all the other lines match.

Do you see how the stamping on the inside matches up though? Where those square boxes are stamped? That's what doesn't make sense, how those are correct but not the rest, where there any other ft bed side panels made for these trucks that differ? The one I used came with the donor truck and was not installed. So maybe its the culprit?

I think you have a front panel for a wood bed floor. They are 3/4" lower than the metal one for the thickness of the wood so that looks to be your difference...

Well, the good news is a lot of people like the wood bed panels so you should be able to sell it for whatever you buy the metal one for or more
