Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I drove the truck out last night with my daughter for an ice cream run. This morning I pulled it out and brought it to the shop so I can do an oil change and check all the fluids....What a great drive to work today sunny mid 70's and not a cloud in the sky....

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I had posted a for sale on mine, they sold and will be on the way to texas tomorrow morning.
My wife bought me new coys 20x10 rear and 18x8 for the front so my truck will be sitting on the lift for about 10 days or so...

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Since I am still waiting for my wheels which will hopefully be here by Wednesday I decided to do something to sylvester while he sits there shoeless.
So I said forget about it and did it. Yes boys and girls I decided to cut the dash and put a modern CD player. I had a bad experience with those two knob retro radios when I put one in my 65 elcamino that crap did not work for maybe about three months then It stopped. I had an extra brand new radio from another project so since my truck is far from original I cut it and I am proud to say that it came out as perfect as you can get it.... Flame away boys....

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
Well the big white truck showed up today (Fedex) with my china made coys that my wife bought me for christmas. We had to mount the front tires because coys could not get them because being on B/O so I had them ship me the two back ones mounted and just rims for the front. I bought the front tires from tire rack and had them in two days. We also had to rebalance the rear as the weights came off during transport. I did not get my lugnuts as they are coming on a different box but being that I have a wheel place down the street they hooked me up with some for the time being till I get the ones from coys. We put them on and I dont know if I am crazy about the look but can't complaint. Let me know what you think.

Re: Al's 71C10 Rebuild
I think they flow well with the look of your truck. I personally love chrome rims, but the black works for your truck!
