Re: slammed 57
Nice work, some really nice custom touches. I'll be fitting the door seals soon for the every same reason.

Re: slammed 57
sorry for the re post here, but they way I use to post pictures , most people cpould not see them.......so here we go again, lets see if i figured it out... please let me know if you cant see these pics.. I would appreciate it
I graphed in a smooth dash and installed the vintage air geniv. its a pretty big unit but its in (thank god) also in one pic you can see how i routed the ac lines as well as the heater lines for a clean look down under the inner fender well I also found some pre molded heater lines so i can route them where i wanted them Last edited by slammed57; 02-01-2019 at 12:21 PM. |

Re: slammed 57
here you can see after i added the soffseal door seals it knock my door pannel alignment off . I pushed the truck in and out of the garage to sit out in the sun for the past few weeks to see if they would settle in which they did but still not where i wanted them to be.....soooooo more cutting and welding....I did get them back into alignment (WHEEEWWW) (sorry for the side ways pic.

Re: slammed 57
I enjoy following your build. It seems like the Soff Seal seals were a lot better than the brand x stuff I tried first. It took some readjusting to get the doors to line up with adjacent panels. So far the rubber has not compressed, 4 months and counting. Nice tight seal though, no rattles or wind noise...

I have the latch assembly, just not the spring that pushes the hood up when released. Thanks.

Re: slammed 57
well back on the truck here....my new goal is to have all the metal work done by October...remember its a GOAL, not an ABSOLUTE but I am pretty determined here... we'll see. but I got the front sway bar in the rear sway bar will be in by the end of the month... also been looking for rear shock mounts but I could find anything that would work for me sooooo! I fabricated some up... took a while to cut and weld everything up, but they are in. THe Mar-k bed should be here next Wednesday. I am looking for a pair of good rear step side fenders if any of you know of a pair for sale, I know shipping ain't cheap but I need some. but thanks for checking in

Re: slammed 57
Got the new mar-k bed the other day... real nice quality i do have to say. but nothing more nerve racking than cutting up a brand new bed. now I need to come up with a plan for raising the bed floor and tubs

https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/en/ They are not cheap but I think that they have the best shape and you can get them in different widths. I went with 2 3/4" on my 48. Thanks Marc
