Re: project: FTD
You're showing 2 different valve sizes. Are your intake valves 1.94 or 2.02?
That 76cc head is your biggest setback right now. You gonna look for some with smaller combustion chambers? If you could find a set with 64-67cc chambers and 2.02 intake valves you'll be in good shape. Last edited by highperf4x4; 07-04-2009 at 02:41 AM. |

Re: project: FTD
hey all well! i got the heads town down.. they are actually in reallllly dang good shape! (to bad im gonna replace them soon)
i finished all my welding and "fender extensions" up.. it could have definatley come out alot better but im inot gonna complain seeing how it's my first attempt at this... so inner and the main fenders done, all i need now is to get off me arse and sandblast the hood and the rad support, headers and battery tray... paint them up.. and then it'll be time to spray gloss coat on everything.... motor is ready valve r assembly once the RIGHT freaking valve seals come in.. and im set.. time to take pictures i guess

Re: project: FTD
wooot wooot! ordered my poly body bushings wheee!
http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=53 now.. with the cab sittign at the correct angle (instead of metal on metal rad support, while rear of cab is on new bushings) and my motor is seated correctly! on the CORRECT engine mounts my distro will FINALLY be able to be adjusted without a whole lot of complaiing!

Man we need to get a filter for you bro. Sometimes you type things out so fast that it takes me a minute to figure out what you're trying to say
Nice work on the truck so far. Keeping my eye on the build process. |

Re: project: FTD
i had o do this....
was doing body mounts.. one bolt snapped off.. (and yes i used PB blaster.. my usual soaking regiem etc...) then i welded a socket onto the remaining shaft of the bolt.. bolt broke so far in that i couldnt save it.. so.. after heating etc.. it's just impossible.. so... i did this... now that ive calmed down im going to wait til tomorrow morning before i start welding it all back together
