WOW!!! I'm impressed. Love the stance. I know it turned into more work than you planned on but it was worth it. Can't wait to see what's next. Keep the pics coming.

Thanks everyone, I won't be back home until the middle of December. Hoping to get the welding buttoned up.

Re: 55 Chevy C-4

I've been home for a few days and I finished up the rear end. Mounted the gas tank. Then spun it around and put the motor back in and checked the driveshaft. Remade the trans. mount, I wasn't happy with the other one but I forgot to get a picture of it.

Re: 55 Chevy C-4

Ooops, forgot my other passion R/C Helicopters.
This one is a Gasser, it has a weed wacker motor on it that's been "Hot Rodded". I have'nt flown it yet and it don't have the main blades on it here.

Re: 55 Chevy C-4

AZ

Coming along nicely, one of the first pictures is a side view showing longer adjustable rods on the 4-link. How long are they? Did you fab them yourself?
What size of joints, dom tube did you use? do you think it will change any of the geometry? I've read that using those joints improves the ride.

I'd love to get the details on this, what you have done is the route that I'm taking, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Keep on keepin on

Re: 55 Chevy C-4

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Nut case, I don't know how much it will change things. I guess I will find out when it gets aligned. I made the Heim joints out of 1" D.O.M. tubing with 5/8ths Heim joints. I don't remember the length. I mounted the Flat Out bracket with enough room for the front bed cross member that holds the step then cut them in and made the other side match.

Re: 55 Chevy C-4

Little "detour" in the road. I wanted to get the frame finished so I can now blow it apart and weld it up. Now I started building a Rotisserie. I want to put the frame on it to finish it and paint it then put the cab on it and start on it. I also have a 29 Model A that I have finished building and now need to paint that I've put it off for some time.

Re: 55 Chevy C-4

The rotisserie is coming along well and will sure be handy. Nice looking Ford. Was it just sitting out in the field like that when you bought it?

Yup, that is where I picked it up in South Dakota. The guy had acres of old cars. I found it on line.
