Thanks, it seems like I have progressed farther on this in the last 3 months than I have on the suburban in the last year, . Soon as the chassis is bolted together, back to the Burb.

Re: Finally got the beast home......
Took the chassis home this weekend and finished putting it together. It barely fit on the 10' trailer but it made it. We put it in the garage next to the "donor" chassis and started swapping everything over.

Re: Finally got the beast home......
Only a few things left:
finish hooking up the brake lines I'm probably going to have to install a shock relocator kit install carrier bearing and drive shafts and I may change the motor mounts. Not to bad for a week's work, . Now, if I could make the same progress with the Suburban, , .

That truck rocks, , I hope mine ends up half that nice! Here's some more pictures of it completley stripped. It's got some "bruises" and some rust that will need fixed. I was cutting the holes for the a/c vents in my suburban and decided I might as well do the CrewCab while I was at it. Economies of scale, I guess, .

Economies of scale! Actually, the move is forcing/motivating me to get certain stuff done before I leave. I have to stop and remind myself some times that it's a marathon, not a sprint.

No, the yellow truck belongs to a good friend. Although if I ever find the right fleetside..........!!!!!!!!

Did some rear suspension upgrades tonight. I added ECE shock relocators and their super track bar setup. The spring setup on the original chassis was a 2/4, but I'm thinking with the weight of the CrewCab, it will end up closer to 3/5. Figured I might as well relocate them while it was "easy" to get to.
