Next one is the dies I made for my bead roller. I made the bead roller over 10 years ago but last year I powered it. I should have done that years ago. I have the AD belt line die, 1/4 bead die, 1/8 step die, 3/16 step die, and a tipping die. I made them all on a manual lathe. The next picture are the dies I made for my air planishing hammer and the way I hand finish my 1/4 beaded sheet metal. The next one is the 2 woodward fab hand shears and my beltsander. The next one is my air planishing hammer I made and my stretcher/shrinker. The last one is my one drawer in my big tool box. It has my Dagger tools hammer and dolly set , poly mallets, 8" sand bag, and a bunch of other sheet metal tools. I also have a large Dagger tools sand bag. I have a large english wheel that I started and have not finished it yet. I have Hoosier patterns lower dies because it was cheaper to buy them than me to hard cut and heat treat. Hpoe you all enjoyed the picture and if you want any more info just ask. That is all stuffed in a 20'x20' garage. I need more space!

99 to Life, I am a tool junkie. I love tools. I have bought a lot of them in the past 5 years. When I need to do something I usually buy what I need. Then I have it for the next project.
Tonight I started gaping the doors. They were tight all the way around mostly except the to because when I shaved the drip rail I gaped that then. So I lined up the door and started with the back. I ground it back and then welded the edge. I like to have between 5/32 and 3/16 gap. To grind them I use a small slitter wheel with a 36 grit disc along side of it. It gives the sanding disc a backer but does not cut with the slitter wheel. Because you can not use the rubber backer because it is too thick. And grind till you are happy with the gap. A good way of checking it is with the back of a drill bit. Shannon

BlueJeep, Thank you, I need to find out about adding on this summer. But hate to deal with the township. I know I could build it. But knowing all about the BOCA codes, what a pain. I might just have them rough frame it and then I will finish it.

I ended up almost getting the headlights all done today. I also had to fix where someone else welded up the light hole on the top of the fender. It had something globed to the bottom so out it came. On the passengers side I have to make/weld in the fill piece for under the eye brow to the fender. Then the headlights are done except for the upper screw pads. They are even for as much as I can tell. I measured them out and they are right on. Then back to gaping the doors and a few other things.

Swell work again there mate. They look sharp in the photos. Geez it gets your mind ticking over with all of the ideas that can be gained through the forums. I just love the look of what you've done there, but then I also like 'em frenched as well as just standard! Oh the decisions,… what to do…what to do! I just have been checking out the door treatments on the crew cab Coe that mr pops has put on the 'pics of 47-59 crewcabs' thread. Certainly has got my mind ticking over! Great job again there on those brows mate! Are you happy with them? Any thoughts on doing the same treatment to one of your own trucks? Anyway have a good one, I'll be catching up with you. You can drink and work at the same time. That is what I do when I get stressed! Maximus, drivea55, jimig1, Thank you. No they are 55/56 car brows. I think the truck ones have a body line in them and that is why you use the car ones. I am glad they are both done so now I can see the finished product. AUSSIE54, Thank you. Yes, I really like them but boy what a lot of work. On mine I welded the trim rings on and made special buckets with adjusters in the fender well. Then fill the seam on the trim ring so it smooths everything out and paint everything. I know what you mean with the forums, so much good ideas and information. Finally got back in the garage tonight. Last Tuesday my wife told me that the living room ceiling was wet. The bath room is right above, so out with the sawzall. Ended up cutting up 1/3 of the bathroom floor to fix the water pipes. I had to run them from the basement to the second floor. So now the sink, tub and toilet all have new plumbing. Thank god that I have as many wood working tools as metal tools so I had all the tools I needed. I only had to buy a small tubing cutter because mine was to big to go around the pipe. Yes i am a tool junkie. The drain for the tub was also bad so that got replace as well. I also put in a new sink and cabinet. Which as my luck has it, it also broke in half and had to get another one. I got a defective one naturally. It was not a good week! But as of yesterday it is mostly done. It really stinks we live in a house with only one bathroom. So back to the truck tonight. I finished up gaping the drivers door. It has a 5/32 gap around it now. It fits a lot better now. Next is the passengers door.
