Having the first pipe in place, I then mounted the X pipe, and started working my way back towards the front with the drivers side pipe.

The drivers side pipe had a few quirks to figure out, but nothing too complex. The drivers header was coming down on a 4 degree angle, and a simple 90 would get me really close, it was heading up at 14 degrees, so I made a simple 10 degree pie cut on the end of the premade 90 I had, and it worked out almost perfect.

by the way, I got a set of the IC engine works tack clamps...what a game changer! you can clamp a joint together, and see what exactly you need or how something needs to change. They are absolutely amazing.
If you're making a system like this, I would highly recommend it.

The last piece I needed to make for the drivers side to connect it all was a short sweep 90 to connect and go up and over the transmission cross member.
I didn't really know the radius that I needed, so I made a couple out of cardboard to figure it out

From there, I entered that into a pie cut calculator online, and got to work cutting, grinding and tacking.

Looks great. I will look into those clamps. This is the next step in my build. I am working on mocking up exhaust and a few other things before stripping and painting or powder coating my frame.

Anyone who is wanting to make your own exhaust, I highly recommend them. it helps so much for getting your fit up exactly where and how you want it. If a joint doesn't quite line up, you can pull it out, mark which side you need to trim and mark how much, and its super simple to realign.

I figured it was time for a quick and easy project, so I decided to tackle the windshield wipers.
I did the usual 95 jeep Cherokee rear wiper swap. I won’t go into detail about it, because it’s been pretty extensively covered. I got Dorman replacement arms from Amazon, and did the usual drivers side flip. This was actually quite simple. The only notable thing worth mentioning, my local parts store did not have the 14” blade available. I Decided to try the 15” blade and see if it would work. I got the blades to the shop, and gave it a try. Sadly, the 15” blade was a little bit too long, and hit the top of the windshield. I took it off and was about to put it back in the box, when I noticed that the hinge point was not in fact on the center of the wiper blade. It measured 7” to one tip of the blade, and 8” to the other. I flipped it around, and wouldn’t you know it, the thing fit perfectly! There is about 1/2-3/4” clearance between the drivers and passenger wipers when they are at the lowest position. So the moral of the story is…double check things. Just because they don’t work at first…take another look at it. Not sure if all wiper blades are like this, but I used reflex part number 021-1121-6 if anyone wants to try this model.

That's good to know. I like having the biggest wiper possible anyhow so I'll have to try and store this info away lol.
