Re: 68 pro touring, auto cross c10 (mid life crisis)

Just buttoned mine up last night. Definately not as simple as I was hoping. Now that you post pics of yours, I hope my doors will shut. I didn't modify the floor at all, it seemed to fit decent, but it's also my first endeavor into this kind of thing. Got it from Goodmark.

I left the rockers and rear cab corners on the truck. Had to do kick panels and front corners like you. I'm worried, now that I look at your pictures, that my new floor may have forced the weather strip lip on the rockers up to where they interfere with the door, I sure hope not. May have to send it to the scrap yard if that's the case.

Looks like you're well on your way to a nice build. I LOVE the shop/house. I'm going to share the pictures with my wife tonight and see if I can get her to buy off on it!

Re: 68 pro touring, auto cross c10 (mid life crisis)

I did a floor a couple years ago when they first came out, and i thought it turned out quit well. Even replaced above the seam on the front of the floor. Considering it was the first floor that was done on here with no one to really ask questions too, it went well. My doors fit well, no real issues.

Re: 68 pro touring, auto cross c10 (mid life crisis)

not sure if you call it progress or needing space? cab made it on frame. this is the ride height i am going for. check out the cup we made for the rear suspension. they get cut in from the bottom of the frame and welded in where the stock coils bolted. the bottom of the cup will be flush with bottom of frame. the threaded bung will weld to the inside of top frame rail. jack screw will be the only thing showing above the frame. also looks like the motor will be moving back 4.5-5" in the chassis. and the front wheels will go ahead .75-1".
