Re: Nacho Truck

Hey Del, truck is cranking. I love the scripted valve covers. The beige ones rock. I have a set I have been planning on putting on "Picacho" but haven't figures out all the breather stuff etc.

I am assuming that is your breather on your oil fill?

Looks great, thanks Ronnie

Those look awesome. Ya I put an ol 327 intake on it so we'll be runnin the oil fill breather. Not as cool as N2billet put it's cheap and it functions. LOL

Thanks Dino, ya is it wrong that we think that's cool? LOL

Subscribed, Man that is a sick truck! What are your plans for on the body? If it was mine I would leave it the way it is, it looks awesome.

Re: Nacho Truck

Yo forum,

As nacho's daddy i thought i'd forumlly introduce myself. my name is mason and i'm a c10aholic. Been one for about 15 years. i'd snort c10 if it came in powder form!! my parents bought me a 70gmc swb when i was in high school. i then proceeded to "fix it up" as a high school kid does. it was hacked up quite a bit but had a decent interior, was fast, bagged and low. back in '01 i took it to nate porter back before he was NATE FREAKING PORTER. nate was the one to "unhackify" my truck which eventually allowed me to sell it. i do not regret selling that truck one bit but knew that when the time came i'd redeem myself and build a c10 that was clean, tight, low, reliable, and low, like...really low.

it's been a decade since i've owned a c10. i saw delmo's blackbird in streettrucks and sent him this message...

"del,

i'll try to keep this short. i've known nate porter for about 14 years. he worked on my 70 c10 way back in the day. i'm a c10 junkie. i just bought a 68 short bed that's nicely worn and very stock. i was always thinkin that nate would be baggin my next c10 but since i live in long beach and he's in AZ it makes it difficult. well i saw your 66 big window in streettrucks a few weeks back and my balls dropped an inch (or two). i thought "man i'd love for that dude to build my next ride". well i bought one today and hit nate up. i mentioned this idea to him and he said "ya hit del up...he builds some nice stuff and it'll drive". hit me back if you're down for the cause. nate can vouch for me and i want the patina bagged/slammed/driver look."

I met del the next day or so and LUCKILY he talked me out of buying this wasted 68 i'm talking about in this message above. he sent the craigslist ad over of a c10 that me and every other california guy had been eyeing for months but the damn thing was in Tijuana. straight sketch-fest. del's email was all the prompting i needed. i shot down there and it was exactly like you think. i followed the brother of the owner to some crazy dirt road location where i would either meet my c10 or get gutted like a fish. to sum it up i fell in love and was back 4 days later making the transaction.

yes...i have a clean title for it.
yes...del is as sick a builder as you'd think.
yes...i'm a c10 junkie and it feels so so so good to let it out.

Lastly, It's Nacho Truck....it's mine.

Re: Nacho Truck

First pic is my first truck when i got it.
Second pic is right before i sold it.

This is the link, on this forum oddly enough, of the truck for sale by someone i dont know. He hasn't responded for a long time to anyone so i have no idea where this thing ended up.

Re: Nacho Truck

I want to know how the hell you got that thing (truck) over from TJ to the States? All I ever heard for years is "To much red tape", Who did you bribe? And by the the way welcome, you're soon going to own one of the baddest trucks in existence!!!
