You do not need to leave nor did I or anyone else suggest that you leave. I will trust that if you change your mind about your declaration nobody here will call your bluff. Yes I did remove your post linking a website to another member. It was a website that you desinged and published here. The problem is that you did not ask for permission in doing so. I realize that some effort went into it along with your best intentions. You should realize that the "other member" may have not liked your portrayal of him (Maybe he did). That's my words not his.

Re: It ain't over till it's over.

Well, I hate to see you leave. I enjoyed watching the progress on your project. And as you know there's a bunch of great folks on here. Like that guy that hooked you up with an alternator. Another guy on here hooked me up with a steering wheel. You can't find people like that just anywhere. I can't say I know first hand how it is to be home bound, because I am not. But I have been close to someone that was, and at a young age. And I know how much enjoyment just simple interaction like this site can bring. Anyway, I'm babbling. All the best, whatever you decide to do. I know I'll be glad if you decide to stick around.

Re: It ain't over till it's over.

Thanks man. Just gotta get these bums around here to get busy on the truck. Might needa borrow your broomstick bro. As I don't walk too softly. Hopefully will get some progress this weekend, with or without a broomstick. Oh yeah, we scored a bunch of used tires today. one of the guys that lives here works at a tire shop and dropped off 18 used tires. No full sets, but there were 3 pair. Our Craigslist here, everyone is asking for tires. So I'm gonna sell'em. and see what I can get out of'em. I was thinking $10 a piece. That's about the going rate around here.

Re: It ain't over till it's over.

next time you feel like that, simply log out. There is no need for drama postings, pms etc. We do not delete accounts, and do not entertain the messages to do so etc.

No one wants to see you go. I am sure we are all glad you chose to stay. I honestly do not have the time for drama postings nor drama PMs. Glad you are feeling better, we all burn out from time to time. And we all have life issues.. Many times posting about them helps, many times it makes it worse. I choose to keep my private issues private, but we all have them.

Again, glad you got over your problem and decided to stay on. If something happens again that makes you want to go... log out, come back when your over it. Simple and does not create drama or effect the staff, other members etc.

Thanks guys. Hopefully we'll get some paint on soon. Just getting all of the interior buttoned up. Need new tires also. Then we'll be pretty much done after that. Then we can start on really spicing things up. We readjusted everything this weekend. Timing, carb. Seems we had a so-called "mechanic" set it up when he was visiting, and believe me, it was WAY off. The distributor alone was 20 degrees off. In the vid above is where we had just finished setting everything back up. And as far as the bed cover, see link below.

Oh yeah, a set of our original speakers had to be replaced. We picked up some sweet looking JBL 6x9's for the back, and some Sony Xplod's for the kick panels, all for $40. Would've cost around $200 normally, if not more. It pays to shop on Craigslist. lol

Here's some pics of my nephew's car he picked up from a friend that was moving back to NY. Let him get the car and pay him later. Was a sweet deal, believe me.

Still on jackstands. I stripped all of the airride off (cost too much to repair and I needed to make a house payment) stripped a donor frame, now I need to rebuild the control arms, and bolt the spring hangers on. The engine is still waiting for reassembly. And sandblast the wheels I just picked up, get lowered spindles because I let mine go with the airride stuff and tires and..........................It may be ready for my daughter to drive to college, she's 9 now.

I dont envy you guys lifting that bed, a shorty is heavy enough. I put my donor frame's stepside bed on a trailer by myself, no fun at all.

Re: It ain't over till it's over.

Wish I would've took picture, video or something, but it was actually just my brother and another guy. Me and my nephew just kinda guided things. The biggest part of it was walking it over to the truck. Here in the parking lot, the bed was setting closer to the apartment, so we had to walk the bed out far enough to get it on. If we could've been somewhere we could just lift it up and straight on, might've been easier.

Re: It ain't over till it's over.

I'll never again complain that my large shop is cold. At least the sun, rain and wind are off me. Working on trucks in front of an apartment sucks, I did it when my wife was in college.
