Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods

Looks like a much smoother transition from the windshield to the roof.

Here's a few good shots of the improved transition. The corners will be reshaped along with the doors to follow the new body line.

Next on the list is windshield corners and finish off the back corners on the top and drip rails on top of door area. Then the doors and the top corners will be rounded into the top.
Wait till you see it.The back part of the roof for a smooth look.

Redesigning the roof line instead of just choppin and welding WILL make it look better. I've never been excited about people chopping off the rain gutters because it always looks unfinished. I'm looking forward to seeing what the finished product looks like.

I agree. Thats why I questioned when they started talking about chopping the top. Most of the time it looks like a peeled apple when done. adding this body line will bring back some definition.

Do you have any pics of the inside of the roof of the cab?

Definitely subtle mod. Dig it.

That front roof line is way better than most I have seen. Can't wait to see it done.

Do you have more pics of the chassis before the cab went on it?

Re: Goodguys 2015 Giveaway C10 by Scott's Hotrods

Here's a few more for today. I will see if I have some bare chassis pics. For some reason as soon as it was finished, the cab was on it before I could get images. At some point though, the cab will come off and I'll shoot a few.

The doors are being fitted as well as a quick mock up of the front sheet metal. The metal work on the fenders placed the core support a little too far back, so we'll fix that and it should be good to start raising the wheel wells a bit.

I really like the core support. It mocked up really nice and will give the truck a clean look.

Nice work guys, I usually don't care for shaved drip rails but I like how you guys reshaped it above the windshield.

Is the core support aluminum? Its hard to tell.

Is that core support an item you can sell by itself?

Thanks. Reshaping that section makes all the difference. Yes, it's an all aluminum core support. I'll shoot a few pictures of it. I don't remember who makes it, but the fit is very nice.

You can see the top corner of the door we rounded the corner off to give it a cleaner look.
Got rid of the square corner that is factory.
