Some updates from the past couple weeks. I had the Speedway Engineering Sway bar mounted but didn't like how it looked and am redoing it. I am also trying to figure out the cleanest way to build the cross bracing and transmission mount.

Geoff,

Thank you, it was good to meet you and see your incredible '68. It's a shame you are getting rid of her but I understand why. You take care also and hopefully, someday, we can get together again.

I started reinforcing the splice where the original frame meets the new back-half and started the X-bracing.

After looking at the photos again I should probably move the empty propane tank...

At least went and got a couple fire extinguishers for the garage this weekend.

Sounds like a BLAST! Using the existing floor patches looks like a smart idea, but what you have going doesn't look bad either. Keep up the good work

Well for those who are tracking my progress, as slow as might be, I am not able to get anything done for a month or so. I have had some knee problems lately and finally had surgery on my knee. It was an Arthroscope and hopefully it helps.

Do you know what air dam that is mounted on the bottom of your front bumper? It looks to be from a later model, but wasn't sure...

I am not sure either. If I had to guess I would say it would be the old body style 1988-98. I just did a quick image search and it looks very similar.

Thanks bro. My knee gets sore after working in the garage but all in all it is healing up quite nice. Hopefully I'll be able to run in a couple months.
