Re: SPID Picture thread?
Heres the one from my K10, this was from the original cab. I put a diffrent cab on and it already had the factory buckets and then I added some stuff like an AM/FM, a camaro tach, and changed the color of the truck from Medium Bronze to Medium Green.

Here is mine of my 1970. It was originally a T.V.A. supervisors truck. Is it what yall call a copo truck? Just curious.

Here's the SPID on Grandpa's '68 longhorn, he bought this thing with a matching slide in camper....also a '68 model...white and gold to match the truck from the factory.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
You say few options, I say blank canvas.
A PO put this cab on a 1971, 4wd chassis. I've added tach, cruise, auto tranny, dual exhaust, fog lights, AC, 383, and probably other things I can't think of right now.

Why is there an extra C in the VIN?

Re: SPID Picture thread?
If I am not mistaken the CC in the VIN is for the Conventional Cab type of truck.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
First C means 2wd, second C must mean Canada, or other export?

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Actually the first C was used in 72 to identify that it was a Chevy, if the first character is a T it is a GMC VIN.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Well my SPID was removed at one point, but I do have the original Dealer Imprint Plate, which I thought was kind of cool. I also have the original manual and registration. I like old paperwork lol.

Re: SPID Picture thread?
hey guys, I'm working on making my SPID
I have chrome bumpers front and rear, rectangular sport mirrors from a 72 and windshield trim. would all of these be standard with the CST option. If not what are the RPO codes for the sport mirrors and windshield trim. I found the chrome bumper one. Also what is the code for a 4.10 12 bolt? JA1 or HB8

Re: SPID Picture thread?
I thought I read that you can get a new one and info directly from GM?
Anyone have a link or info? Mine was removed from the 69 when she was painted yellow. I would love to find out what was factory original. |

Re: SPID Picture thread?
Cole, looks like were both in the same boat. I don't think GM has the info on each individual truck. I'm going to get a spid from chipflyer and just list the options that I can verify.
