Re: 1970 C30 Car hauler Buildish thread.
I moved the driver side shock mount behind the axle to match the dodge bracket.

I don't know if they actually do anything it says it gives any extra 500lbs of load on each shock and supposed to give a little lift idk but they sit at the same height as the old ones. that said i'm running helper bags any ways to help keep the load level. and its way cheaper then replacing the old leaf springs. 20211027_145259 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20211027_212021 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20211027_213118 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr Pulled my step fathers boat out of the water on november 1st it was 71 out here it was a warm fall. 20211026_175543 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20211026_180542 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr started on the wide body extensions. 20211104_153546 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20211104_161715 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20211104_192849 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr the steel wheels have a slightly deeper offset so I needed to make sure they fit. Nice work on it. I like your junction box for your trailer connectors. Nice work on the bag mods and bed widening. If has been a warm fall. Next week around here is going to be warm too. Sounds great to me!

You spent a lot of time with the plasma cutter on those trees. Nice little gift though. I like the exhaust exit. Looks good

Re: 1970 C30 Car hauler Buildish thread.
My buddy that I painted his truck gave me an old warn winch that he got on trade. He though it was told it was an 8k but it is a 6k. but after I did a bit of research on them it has the same gear ratio as the 9k winch. so I'm going to upgrade the motor and motor plate and make it a 9k winch.

Re: 1970 C30 Car hauler Buildish thread.
Its been a while since I have posted. I have not stopped on the truck. I have just gotten lazy with my up loads.
Back last year after I finished the winch I installed a York compressor I have had sitting since 2012 I always planed on using it for onboard air on something but just have not. Re: 1970 C30 Car hauler Buildish thread.
I built a new shifter! It started out as a old Hurst 4 speed shifter that I found in our barn when we bought the house. back in 05 I think?
I cant find some of the pics. The chrome was coming off it was super rusty and pitted. In this pic it looks like i just finished sanding all the chrome a pits off of it getting ready to cut it. 20220816_205308 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr I made some brackets to be able to bolt it on and make it height adjustable. 20220816_214714 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr here is the bracket welded in place and the shifter polished. before I copper and nickel plated them. 20220817_144102 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20220817_220502 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20220817_221246 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20220817_221449 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20220817_221826 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr 20220821_202427 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr here it is after nickel plating 20220822_221831 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr I made a shift knob out of a old curtain rod end 20220823_124300 by jarrod vanwinkle, on Flickr |
