Very nice stuff. When I did a lot of this kind of thing, you could get eibach springs for our trucks, and those and the Doetsch shocks always was a fantastic combo. Great job!

Thanks LOW. I am very impressed with the Doetsch Slammers for sure. And I have a complete Eibach lowering kit with front and rear sways on my 08 Hoe with factory air ride very very good springs.

Also sent Doetsch a email today I noticed they have a mono 2.0 shock. So I asked them if they make the equivalent to the slammers I have and well guess what they sure do. So I am thinking real hard about getting them and testing them out. $66 each they said. Not bad at all.

Well my shackles finally showed up today. Thanks for messing up the delivery day Fedex. O well I got them. Happy the support beam under the bed that runs from fender to fender is notched out already. These will tuck right up in.
I will see if I can get these installed tomorrow along with flip kit. But depends on how long the alignment takes.

Loving everything about this truck. I contacted Robert shortly after he bought this truck asking if he wanted to sell and he didn't at the time. You got one hell of a truck there my friend, congrats again!

Thanks BM! I'm glad I got it. It took me a few months to convince him to let it go. I am proud of it and feel I am doing it justice. It sure is a eye catcher when I take it out. Even people who don't like Chevy's like it. I got more stuff to do on it but that is the fun part. More to come!

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Well I had to order something for the truck today. Lol. I ordered the Porter front shock relocator. I hadn't planned on ordering it but I said might as well. Got it from Travis over at Pro Performamce. Nice guy answered my questions in PMs. Well that means more new shocks God help me I have used more shocks than I ever would on anything else. I did not want a twin shock I wanted a mono shock. I have been talking with Doetsch about w mono shock. But I would have to have them custom made and wait 2 weeks and they would cost over $100. So I got the shock numbers from Travis that they use with the Poerter kits. Called KYB and got the correct numbers for the mono tube KYB shocks for the front and rear. My stuff has to match lol. Just wish the Porter stuff was coated. O well I will fix that with rattle powder lol. When I get the stuff I will post up picks. Hopefully I will like the KYB mono shocks for the front and rear. I am going to have to go to some shows to unload some of this suspension stuff I have stocking up in the garage.

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Well the KYB mono shocks I ordered are not in stock. That really ticks me off. I hate when a dealer says they have something In stock but they don't o well. So I will be getting the twin tube KYB shocks for now. Cause they couldn't get anything else but I did some research and found some Bilsteins that will work. Plus I got the KYB twin shocks a heck of a lot cheaper than what the vendors on here have them for!! Just going to get everything installed and then get those down the road. Everything should be here by Thursday!

Trying to decide between the March v belt conversion kit or the billet specialties v belt conversion kit. I have one already sitting in garage but idk if I like it.

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Surprise 2. I don't know how these will do. These are what work for the truck by comp and ext. for the front and rear. The application is actually for a Toyota truck 4Runner and a land cruiser. Same shocks that come in the porter kits. So we shall see.

Thanks guys I appreciate it. Jwall killer truck man! Well I went ahead and ordered the Belltech street performance shocks again. Got a deal and couldn't pass it up. But for a $25 shock the KYB actually ride really good surprised the hell out of me. So the SP will be put on this week in time for a truck show this weekend. Also...

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Well I got one side done. Just went ahead and put the KYB on. The Porter bracket is nice straight forward install. But it would have been nice to know the proper angle for the bracket so I just leveled it to the bottom of the frame. I guess that is correct. I called Porter no answer call me back in a day. O well it's on so no turning back now lol. I will finish the other side tomorrow. Been chasing a no heat issue. The best time to test it during the summer time right lol.

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

Well I put the Gas A Just on. Took the truck for a ride this weekend with the Excel-G and ate my inner fenders up. So put the gas a just on no more eating fender and ride quality imo are just like the Belltech but it is tighter in the turns and lane changes. Which I like to get out on the streets and raise some hell as much as I can. But out of the shocks I have put on this truck so far these are the best. And priced right. Tomorrow will be upgrading my cooling fan relays to a PWM to better control the fans. I will post pics when it shows up tomorrow!

Re: 1976 Square "Simple Green"

New air filter showed up today! R2C competition filter. But on a real note these do flow and protect you engine better than the K&N cotton gauge type filters. I have seen data and real world use. Plus the black hex looks bad ass!!
