Re: project "call of duty" 72 c10
So far i,ve enjoyed following along, even though I don't really post. I like a fast build, I try to push hard when I have time also.
So what happened to the hydro truck? I was really looking forward to seeing that system being built right! Did you go to air because of cost? Is it faster or easier to set up then hydro? Just wondering why you switched.. Posted via Mobile Device

You use fatty cyl as your supply any skinnies as your lift. Then use air bags to push the filled fatty to raise the wheel. But it takes quite a bit of room to do that. Hydros also take a bit of room. I've decided on air because you can hide bits through out the truck. I'm probably gonna regret doing air because the system always leaks. Pop a bag and ur screwed. Blow a cyl and you still can lift it to limp home. I may change it so !!!!!!!! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: project "call of duty" 72 c10
I put the cab on and it was I horrible condition. I really didn't look at it because I've been so rapped up with the frame. So this cab is junk. Nothing is bolted just resting on thr frame. Need to start from scratch. Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh.

New cab? Dang, that'll probably set you back what? 45 minutes?
Your pace is amazing!

Sexy and centered. Now I need to start my old cab. Redo the chop and so on. Time to order sheet metal.

Re: project "call of duty" 72 c10
Welded the tabs for the radiator support. My tires just make it on the inside of the fenders when it lays. I am going to change the front end into 1967 style I like it better. Because I the engine forward more I have a lot more room in the firewall I think it looks a lot better that way. All in all it's coming along good. Hopefully this week I will get a wheel alignment to finish the front end. Then tear down the entire frame to get painted.

Re: project "call of duty" 72 c10
Its amazing to me how you got the angles on the frame right so that the radiator support sits where it needs to for the fenders. Pretty cool work!

Re: project "call of duty" 72 c10
I got the best news possible today.
MY TRUCK WILL DRIVE STRAIGHT. I had off today because of rain. "Can't work with high voltage in the rain" and took my chassis to my buddy's Firestone. 1 hour later the tv screen was all green. He said it will drive straight as an arrow. Toe,camber, caster all good. Now I can strip the frame to get painted. 1 step closer. And most of all I built it from scratch. Hell mutha f**kin yea Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device
