Re: "All Out Original 72"
Love the build! My dad was an all original kind of guy and was working on an old (1928?) Dodge before Parkinson's slowed him down. My '70 is going mostly original, with a few tweaks under the hood. nothing as elaborate as NOS etc. but with the "new old" look.
Keep up the nice pictures!

Re: "All Out Original 72"
great looking build, nice to see another local rebuilding these trucks. i was scanning through your build and noticed your front brake line mounts are on the front of the crossmember just like on my '71. i cant find long enough brake lines to fit mine anywhere, if you dont mind me asking where did you get your rubber caliper lines and how long are they?
thanks, skeeterbug

Re: "All Out Original 72"
Nope, he passed away 2 years ago. It went in the estate sale along with two 20's parts cars, a 53 Ford 2 dr, a 63 Buick Special (V6), an 84 Delta 88, and a 90 Chev 1500. The Chevy was pristine with 60k mi, it went for about $3K. I got the '70 then.

Re: "All Out Original 72"
Sorry for your loss!!! Sounds like he was a pretty classy guy, with the rides he had. Carry on his work with the 70, I'm certain he would be proud! God bless!

Absolutely incredible build! I would love to do the same to my 70, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Re: "All Out Original 72"
One of these days I would love to do a build like yours! In the meantime I am converting my cab to factory A/C, and I am using your photos to see where and how all the parts go. Thanks!

Re: "All Out Original 72"
I will take a few extra pics as I'm doing the outside A/C. If you need any pics in particular, let me know, I have many that I haven't posted. I have a lot of photos of the interior part of the A/C.

Re: "All Out Original 72"
That is one beautiful build you've got going on there, your work looks really top-notch, I'd love to see it in person when it's finished. Maybe a Tennessee "victory" tour LOL? (right thru my yard!)
Just your pics so far take me back to October-November 1971 when they were new. Thanks for this thread!!

Gonna be hard to get me away from the shop, I have another to build, right behind this one. Same caliber of truck, but medium green and white, with dark olive interior. And with a cypress wood floor. Tn Z, would love for you to see the truck, it is a lot better in person, I promise. I'm North of Nasville, your welcome to visit anytime! |
