Nice. On many older Deere models you can pay an individual to go to the archives and look up when the tractor was made and wich dealer it was sent to.

The only way to get info from the archives is to purchase a serial number research through the Two-Cylinder Club, not from one particular individual. They are extremely backed up at the moment and it can take several months to get this information. The M and MC are on display at the Dubuque factory.

Thats still a lot of tractor, maybe the higher end of the average right now just based on this site.

Always have to remind myself that the Sound-Gard tractors are 50 years old already, lots of them still in use. Same with the New Generation tractors that replaced the two cylinders are getting into their 60's now. When the Two-Cylinder club was formed in the 80s the last of the two cylinder tractors were only about 25 years old and the first 1929 model 'D's were only a few years older than this 4430 is today. To me the tractors always seemed to look newer or more modern/advanced than the trucks of the same era when placed side by side.

friend looking for some info on his restoration project

I poured through several pages but couldn't match it exactly

showed him from tractordata site where serial plate is

I dont know. It does have features of a Massey as was pointed out, but I cant find any images of that 3D grill.

The exhaust manifold looks broken and the engine is likley full of water.

I will see if the old dude that runs the tractor junk yard has an email I can send a pick to.

I think you're right, closest I can find is a model 20. I found this auction listing, while the grille has more bars the rest of it seems to be a match. The other lines on the grille all match a MH.

interesting how many pictures of so many massey harris models but that one LoL

I'm sure they'll be needing just about everything for it so hopefully a model with some parts availability

either way they're resourceful, same owner built a hawk-amino, stude hawk front end on an el camino

Anyone here familiar with Keystone Tractor & Truck Museum in Colonial Heights, VA? I had a slew of pictures from a when my friend and I went a few years ago in February. Lost when my last computer died. These are some pictures I grabbed off the internet. The best part about going in Feb was I got the grand personal tour with the curator who knew everything about everything there. My friend is too hyper for that and he blaster off after constantly interrupting the guy giving us this great information. Seeya! We both were glad as he buzzed off. This was not the time to be impressing someone with what you know. I was all ears......................AND EYES!!

Glad you got there. I was amazed and that was 5-6 or more years ago. Since then they added on and built a restoration shop. I'm itchin' to get back down there. Museums are a great winter activity

That's cool to see. I used to have two early 110s. The fenders were steel. I ran them many years. I still have the accessory book I got at the dealership. Mine had 8hp Kohlers. I had a JD 80 dump cart, too. I decided the early Cub Cadets were a better tractor and sold all my JD stuff to a collector. I bought the first one at a local JD dealership who holds a sale each spring to sell off all the year's trade-in. There were so many early tractor company lawn tractors it drove me crazy, Case, Massey Ferguson, etc. And a mess of quality ones like Wheel Horse, Simplicity, Gravely. Then there were so unique ones I never saw before, different designs like one that was a reel mover. The second 110 was set out for sale on Main St in my town. I forget why he was selling it but he had just had the transmission rebuilt at the dealership and he wanted $200. That's the one I mowed most with
