I can do one w/o the ac pump. The cost is the same as the idler that replaces the pump cost me about the same. I do not have time to detail one though.

Re: Serpentine belt conversions

I bought the conversion kit from you bought a 95 tahoe water pump high out put new fan clutch ,radiator cap new thermostat for 95 tahoe . while idling temp stays good for about 5 minutes then it goes to the hot on the gauge . Do i need to buy a radiator for a 95 tahoe to put in my 72 chevy truck.

No you don't need to change the radiator. The system does know or care what rad is in front of it. Double check to be sure you have a reverse rotation fan clutch and water pump. If these two items are correct you should be fine. By application of the 95 Tahoe you should have got the correct parts. Before it gets hot with the rad cap off does it have any water flow? Is the upper rad hose getting hot? Maybe a faulty thermostat? Thanks, Tom

Re: Serpentine belt conversions

Hey guys great thread! I have a 72 current setup is later with alternator on right R4 a/c compressor on left. Is there any magic or particular reasoning on which serpentine setup(right or left a/c comp.) is best?

Re: Serpentine belt conversions

Any issues running the stock fan shroud with this swap, either AC or non-AC shroud? I installed a serpentine system about 10 years ago with electric fans. I'm getting tired of relays and fan motors going out so I'm going with a clutch fan and shroud. I have the correct fan & clutch, I now need to source a shroud that will fit.
