Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

i do not rightly know what mine has pulled before i got it, but id guess it was a heavy puller cause my 78 k10 has a 6000 pound towbar with trailer brake contoller in the cab.

Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

My '87 K10 Silverado pulled my '76 Shortbed with a bunch of parts in it's bed plus the bed of my '87 full of extra stuff. Something like ten car batteries, a rear step bumper and some assorted junk. Was the longest 30 mile trip I've driven in a long time. But made it home safely. Poor 350 was tired.

Stumbled onto this old thread on Google while looking at pictures and thought I'd revive it. Here's my lowered 84 c10 hauling a 56 Pontiac.

Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

We actually use the SuperSub to pull our pop up. Although with 35s and 3.73s it lays down at the slightest hint of a grade. Which sucks, because 95% of our trips end up in our local mountains. Going back to 33s when those 35s wear out. May swap to 4.11s, too.

Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

The old brownie here, (82 K10 305) has pulled tractors out, countless other mishaps out of ditches, stumps and the crowning moment a 1 ton Dodge Dually hooked onto a 30 ft Mobile home (bit larger than a 5th wheel)

Only had to be pulled out of a mess 3 times in her 31 years

Now to get to bringing it back to its former glory, and to find replacement interior parts for a non standard color truck. The dash is dark brown and cracked up. at least the door panels and seats were tan.

Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

Haven't used my '90 Crewcab dually yet for towing, but here's a couple pics of my old blazer. Since I got rid of it I've been needing another tow vehicle for awhile. The dually will be towing dump trailers and flat decks for work and side business of buying/selling trucks.

The white trailer I had loaded to 10,000lbs of scrap which the Blazer towed just fine
