Re: barn find 67 c-10
The front wheels came in yesterday, I'm pretty sure I'm going to paint them the original body color. Thanks to some members I've found out the truck has 64-66 c10 hubcaps on it, and they are in bad shape. What are y'alls thoughts on hubcaps? Go back with new chrome 66 style caps, or something different?

Re: barn find 67 c-10
Yeah like the blue truck. Did Chevy offer a chrome hubcap in 67?

Re: barn find 67 c-10
OK, I've got the holes welded up and started filling in the low spots, got the lowered springs and spindles on, along with the lowered rear springs. I'm trying to get it back rolling so I can get it outside and wash it down to start painting the frame. A little advice to people who have never used filler. Thin coats are a LOT better than 1 thick coat. I sanded forever to get it back down to where it needed to be.

Re: barn find 67 c-10
Saturday I got the firewall primed, painted along with the frame. All the front suspension is installed along with brakes and hoses. Next step is to get the steering column built and put back in it. I'm in the process of cleaning up the 5.3 to paint it before installing it.

Re: barn find 67 c-10
I got the motor cleaned up and painted then istalled the dirty dingo mounts and slid it in place. The mounts woeked great! All I'll have to do is trim the mount adapter and the AC compressor bracket and it should mount in the stock location.

Re: barn find 67 c-10
Looks great! Do you have pictures of how close you are to the firewall with the back of the motor? What headers are you using? Did you have to cut the frame?

Re: barn find 67 c-10
I'll take some tonight. It fit really well. The only modification I had to make was on the passenger side block. Theres a little tab that sticks out I had to grind down about 1/16 of an inch to clear the header.
