The Porterbuilt suspension is really nice, and is the way to go.

Very soon. We got them just in time to put them on for the show, and went into the trailer. When we take it out for the show display, I will update with some pictures. I wanted to go a little wider in the back, but think once the back fender is covering half the tire , it will be good.

Thanks... Dakota Digital does a really nice job on the gauges and love the look of the black alloy on this particular cluster.

Saw your truck yesterday at the show. Looks awesome! Was going to try and see if you had a gas tank with you but you looked super busy.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

Travis,
Those are very cool wheels, but somehow I pictured you for more of a Billet/Machined/Custom style of wheel!
I thought that you would be more of a Boze, Schott type of guy...Something a little more edgy!
Don't get me wrong, those are sweet, but not how I how I had visioned your pick on wheels for this! (truly not trying to sound sarcastic)
What size(s) did you go with?
They almost look like the same size on all four corners....
That would be cool because you could rotate!
This is truly turning out to be such an awesome build!

Sorry I missed you at the show. If Saturday, it will sometimes get like that.

You are right, and I am usually that guy, but budget just didn't allow to go with that type of wheel. I really wanted the original design we picked, but the back space availability due to the dish wheel, just wouldn't work with the truck laying on the ground. These are all 8.5's around, but slightly staggered backspace. We had to bring in the wheels and go narrower to clear the reveal in the bedside, since it would hit when aired out, otherwise a 10" would have worked.

On my own '84, I am going to do something different.... whenever that is. lol

Thanks for the good words, and we will hopefully be dropping the engine in next weekend.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

Here are some progress pictures from the weekend. Got the bed risers made, and we ended up attaching the compressor, tank, VU4 & E-level computer to it. I don't have a picture of everything attached, but will try and upload some later.

Thanks! We are going to be running a wood bed. The diamond plate rails were on the truck when we got it, so we just left them. Was going to take them off, but might leave them to be a little different.

Steal away... below is a picture of how the compressors and tank were mounted. I will try and grab some better pictures. We still have a lot of wiring to clean up and route.

Re: 63 C10 SWB Dropmember Build

Thanks guys!

We will be running the Porterbuilt hood hinges, but really wanted to have a gas assisted setup. I sent the hinges over to Ben @ Alexander Speed (Bhelton) to have him work out the details and make the brackets for me. He made it all work and think they came out pretty nice. We will now have 60-66 gas assisted hood hinges!

I will be picking them up when in Charlotte next week, and can't wait to get them installed.
