Here is a wagon that I have had for quite a while. I just traded it as part payment for the Harley I bought.

Love the pedal car!!!

What's the reason for the angled (bent) frame? Did it change how far down the car sits?

I built it with the body turned over to match the contours. I started with the center (like on yours) then the rear to match under the seat then I did the front, it ended up being at an angle to be able to mount the 2 body bolt holes. Pretty my much I didn't want anything exposed or hanging below the body.

Re: The Wagon and Pedal Car thread.

Well I'll be starting my pedal car stroller build very soon, just have to find one to start with. Thinking of picking up a new 32 Ford pedal car body to start with.

Okay. I didn't know if I could have done mine different and ended up with a lower stance.

Where are the mounting points on the pedal car body? On mine there were 6 total - 2 on the seat, 2 around the front license plate area, and then 2 high mounts for the top of the pedal gear. I only used the first two mounting points (the seat and then front license plate area).

Is this an original body or a reproduction? I like the lines and the Buick style vents on the side.

Also, did you have to modify the seat at all for the rear wheels to sit so low? On mine the wheel would have rubbed on the seat portin of the body so I only have like a 1/16-1/8" space between the seat and the back of the wheel.

Can't wait to see this thing done.

I've seen some pretty cool ones done with the new repop '32 bodies.

Can't wait to see what you end up with.

Re: The Wagon and Pedal Car thread.

Well I finished it up today. I've added a lot of small details like a bottle holder, grips on the push bar, lokar style double bend shifter with skull, harness off of a graco carseat, upholstered seat and custom backrest, functional headlights and taillights 2 switches and all wiring is soldered or crimped legit with heat shrink wraps and in conduit.

Re: The Wagon and Pedal Car thread.

Freaking love this thing!!!

Any shots of the detail work (ie, wiring, etc?)?

I had contemplated the shifter idea just never pulled the trigger on it. You knocked this one out of the park.

Thanks! Yours was one of the first pedal car/totrods that I saw and it inspired me to build this one. I should of taken detail shots of wiring but its all mounted up. The 1st chance I get and pull the body off the frame I will snap a couple for you.

Would love to see how you layed everything out.

I'd like to build another one now that I bought a welder etc. My son is 2 and I know his time is short for running a pedal car but I think they are such a cool touch to a car show. I'd like to build another one as I have a lot of different ideas I'd like to incorporate. His car is his car and will stay like that until he gives it to his son.

I just want to build one to sell. My kids are now 3 and soon to be 6 so the pedal car stroller is out for them but I would like to just build one to build one. The wagon I built them is getting too small for the two of them.

Hey mad rods. Where did you get the headlights? I just bought a pedal car body. I was told it is a Murry. Can't wait to start messing with it. I have to decide if I do the stroller or bike first.
