Re: Mike's 50
Mike, I have been reading some comments about the LS3 harmonic balancers coming apart on these motors, and they are recommending pining the HB to the crank shaft.
I just purchased one and was informed by a group on the Corvette Forum that is was good insurance while the engine was out of the chassis Have you seen or heard anything about this problem?

Other than these 2 pictures havent seen much about what is going on with cab and front end sheet metal. I'm sure it is going to look good.

Re: Mike's 50
Well I got the frame, Trans. cross member, and misc. pieces dropped off for Powder Coating, today. Went with Satin Black. They say should be done 3-4 days max.
Went today and checked some progress. First coat of black on firewall, and interior is just about ready for color. Went and got interior color also. hope it turns out like I'm looking for. Atleast it can be sanded and repainted, Just cost alittle more in labor and materials. all the small pieces need to be prepped and painted as far as inner fenders, radiator support etc. they will all match firewall. The dash was just stripped and radio know holes fixed, a previous owner hogged them out to fit a aftermarket radio and I wanted to keep the dash stock. Last picture doesnt look it but it is a SEM hot rod black paint. Will post more pictures as progress is made. Hopefully in a week should have complete chassis done and maybe be getting cab shell back at least.

SolidAxel,
I haven't seen anything about that. i read on the LS1tech.com forum and havent seen anything. I hope not but figure that will just give me the chance to build something with more HP.

Re: Mike's 50
Doug, Yes there is some progress being made. Its easier to get stuff done when you pay to have it done, otherwise it would have not much done. I got some motivation from a few recent car shows.

Re: Mike's 50
I had the same picture loading issue for a long time. I finally figured it out if you edit your photo on your phone (crop it a little), then upload them, the pictures work every time. Even if your phone was sideways when taking the picture. Awesome truck by the way. Those frames take out so much work and guesswork, they are worth the money. Wish I would of figured that out at the start.

Wade,
Thank you and that truck you are building is just Bad Ass. My Buddy paint my interior today. I'm not sure. I was Trying to get a color close to original. and I ended up with this. What do you you all think? I like it in all but the picture with the incandesant light on the dash.

Re: Mike's 50
Here are some final assembly (hopefully) pictures. Frame is going back together, still need to torque everything. need a port plug for the proportioning valve otherwise could have bled brakes.
Have Dyna Mat to start installing in cab. will start working on cab assembly. I will roll cab on back to clean, and coat with raptor liner or something similar, then will be able to install cab to frame.

Making some progress. Installing Dynamat, also got steering column in, Glove Box door, Liner , and Speaker grille and Gauges.
Plan on continuing with Dyna Mat and maybe get to door Reassembly. I will work on getting cab on its back and clean, paint and undercoat the bottom of the cab. I will get some pictures posted tomorrow or Sunday.
