This build should be called "Fast Forward". I think it took me 2-3 years to get to this point. Nice work Max.

craig, i seen some doug thorley headers on ebay! i have the same cpp perches and had problems finding headers that would work! the problem is you need headers that cylinders 1 & 2 tubes come out go straight back past 3 & 4 to clear the perches! they aren't cheap, heres a link to some i think will fit! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Doug-Thorley...item4cfcca40fa

craig, can you get a more of a side view of the exhaust ports and where the cpp perch is! i looked back when you but on the bbk headers and i'm wondering if the 3 & 4 exhaust port are right above the perches or if its the angle of the pictures, thanks!! i can't tell if the headers you would need would need the 3 & 4 tubes to come straight out an go back some too or not!

The #1 port is the problem, the #3 port on the sanderson was good.

Did you try street&performance, I bought headers for my lt1 from there , for a 67-72 but fit great. I know LS1 is different config but they do it all.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Things are moving slow, don't want to get much further along until the header issue is fixed. Did get the brake lines run, fuel cell is in, power steering gear box is in. Had a huge dust storm Monday covered the truck in dust, really ticked me off. Also upgraded my air compressor for the soon to be sandblasting.

Talked to guys at vintage air they said Corvette compressor would not work with their system. So up top it is, will be much easier to deal with.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Made some additional bends to the stock corvette power steering hose. I think I can get the hose modified at the 180deg bend and all will be good.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....
