Thanks guys. I hope they do Dan. I hope they don't leak. I've heard stainless are famous for that.

Re: 86 k 20 project "cletus"

Spent some time today plumbing up my fuel system. I am having a bit of a challenge figuring out how to route the vapor lines. See this link for further info: http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=426263

Here are some pics. I haven't clamped anything down yet.

Re: 86 k 20 project "cletus"

I got the bed back from the painter today! It is still on my spare frame that I'm going to use for my pops project. I will move it over to Cletus' frame in a few weeks.

Re: 86 k 20 project "cletus"

I got this grill thrown in as a freebie from a dude I bought some other parts from. I'm thinking of polishing it up and using it. I kinda like it. What do you think?

That looks purdy! I vote no on the grille, a stock chevy grille will look much better IMO.

Re: 86 k 20 project "cletus"

hmmm...normally I like the factory look too, but I am more of a round eye fan for the factory look. I wish I had found a good deal on a round eye front clip in time to use it on this truck. I found one that I am using on my Pops project.

Re: 86 k 20 project "cletus"

I am definitely looking forward to my "Stitch Interiors" package arriving. I think as a staple of your product line you should stitch your logo in the seat cover...but not down by where you said people wipe their boogers.

You're a trip Charlie. I can't stand booger seats lol. And I don't know if everyone would like my name posted all over their seats. I can definitely do that and if anyone wanted that done I can ablige them though.

Re: 86 k 20 project "cletus"

Okay guys, I need some advice here. If you look at the lower pic in post #132 of this page you will see my fuel selector valve that I have started to plumb up. There is an exit port that I cannot figure out on the lower left of the switch. I thought it may be for the vapor line, but there is no port going into the switch for the vapor line from the tanks. Any thoughts? The switch didn't come with any paperwork so I'm a bit confused.

Is that a factory style valve? If someone doesn't beat me to it i'll try to get some pictures of the one on my K30 tomorrow.

Re: 86 k 20 project "cletus"

My factory switching valve doesn't look like that one.
How many wires go to yours?
Is it carb'd or EFI?
my factory carb'd valve only has one wire going to it, the fuel senates are switched through the dash mounted switch.
I'll get a pic tonight

Re: 86 k 20 project "cletus"

I bought this valve from LMC. I had assumed it was factory style, but maybe not. I am actually wondering if the extra port is some type of pressure relief port in case an excess of pressure builds up. Who knows. Anyway...this is for a carb application. It is a 6 prong connector with only 5 wires used.

Yeah
That's aftermarket.
Last time I checked, couple years ago, you could still get the OEM from Chevy.
