Re: 1964 C10 Survivor

After my thread earlier asking about rubber or poly body mounts glad to hear that I have made the right decision!

Rubber mounts are En Route, well hopefully, but that is a story for another day....

Yes, there is a thread in here about that. Rubber is more cushionny.

I'm pretty sure you aren't going to want to paint this one either. I think that gmc color is somewhat rare.

Correct, this one isn’t gonna get paint either. Looks like it’s had one repaint in the Palomino Tan a long time ago…hoping it buffs out pretty well…

8-lugger. Staying HD or going to do a 5-lug swap?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

While I'm working on the GMC, I'm just racking up miles on this truck. It's been so good all summer.

Oh No! Park it. Store it away and only bring it out for car shows and special occasions for others to see and say 'ooohh ahhh'. That's the purpose of a classic vehicle. Like Jay, you need 1000's of sq ft of ooohh ahhh vehicles.

Re: 1964 C10 Survivor

New chapter to the story...this truck is going to a new home about 4 hours north. It's been a great truck but I can't keep it inside while I have other projects and I don't want to watch it deteriorate. I hope the new owner enjoys it!
