Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Haha don' you just hate the rain lol I'm in the same boat as you though with the surface rust on my cab roof but its not so bad because only a few spots were still bare metal but it still gonna take alot of sanding to get it back keep it up man thanksgiving break is just a week away and I'm hoping to get back to work on my truck.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Yeah man same here. I hope the weather is good for at least a few days over thanksgiving break, so that I can work on the truck and play some call of duty

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
I used rustoleum satin black paint. Looks really good and it is only 9 dollars a quart.
I think I'm going to do what Rick was talking about, I need to start masking it off to repaint it and then I need to polish it. The int. is pretty bad right now lol I'll get a pic though

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Are you going to put a stereo in there, i just put mine in i had to clear up the previous owners wiring disaster but i redid it and it all hooked up smoothly. I cut my dash too, it was so easy, i tried a saw zaw but it would jump too much so i just used a cheap kobalt hack saw and it only took 30 minutes, but make sure you measure twice.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Haha alright sounds good. I sent you a request Rick..at least I think I did. you have a pic of a guitar, right lol?
I'm going to put in a stereo I got for Christmas. The p/o of my new cab cut one side of the dash just enough to look s**** so I'm going to cut it and drop it in there. I have a huge mess of wiring too, I've been working on it for a couple of days now going through all of the junk gotta love 43 years of crap lol

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Is it a stock stereo or a aftermarket, I just put my pioneer head unit and pioneer 6.5's in the door, I bought my amp yesterday sony xplod 600 watt to hook up to my alpine 12, i have it over the tranny in the cab. Im working on a highschooler budget so its not the best.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Thanks guys!! I got the truck wet sanded today, tomorrow morning I am going to mask everything off and spray it one more time, and let it sit in the garage for a few days with some heat on it. Then i'm towing it home so I can get the beast running ! my p.o.s. phone died so I couldn't take pics i'll take some tomorrow when I start masking it off.

Re: My first build-1967 C10 LWB
Lol ok then. Anyway, here are some new pics. I got the truck painted yesterday and my brother went over and took some pics for me today. They aren't the best quality because the light sucks and it's raining so I can't put it outside
