Re: C20 lowered pictures
Before and after the 3-inch drop in the rear. I haven't completed the one-inch drop up front yet. The new coils and shocks evened out the height. I am truly blown away at how much better the truck rides comfort wise. No more banging around after every pothole.

Re: C20 lowered pictures
I spent the past couple of weeks getting this ol girl on the ground. I took it off the jack stands last night and giggled like a little kid when I saw the final product. I’ll get it outside in the daylight soon for a side shot.
To tell you that I’m excited is an understatement! 💪 |

Had no idea there were so many lowered c20's out there! Here's mine before and after.
4" lower springs in the rear and 2" drop spindles in front. Got the drop spindles and disc break set up from Performanceonline. Last edited by DennisP; 11-12-2019 at 04:20 PM. |

Re: C20 lowered pictures
Interesting how a person's tastes change over time. I have to credit this site for the many different things I have tried that I would have never tried before.
For example, it was not too long ago that I thought people who lowered their C20s were crazy: now I am seriously thinking of doing the same thing. I see that since this thread began that GMC Paul has started stocking not just a 2-4 drop, but 3" front and 6" rear coils for the C20s. I was wondering if anyone had tried such a drop using springs only, and if it is as simple as swapping them out, or if there is more to it than that. My truck has a coil spring rear, so I am wondering if I can get some good results this easily. Since I have drums in front it would seem that spindles are not an option unless I switch to discs. I would prefer not to do that right now, so am looking for the lowest drop I can get using coils only.

Re: C20 lowered pictures
My 68 needs to look like that. What parts did you use? Is it still four drums all around?
