That's what I'm going to run on my truck, like the center caps, what are they off of.

Not really sure, the guy said they were on his '85 C10 when he bought it. They are in really good shape too....

Thats the same wheels I have on my burb. They came off of an 86 Suburban. Kind of hard to see but I temporarily sprayed them silver until I can get them back to original. Also going to make my center caps all chrome. Saw the how to on Youtube

If you fail at your attempt to do something did you still get something done.

Spent the day trying to figure out why my tail lights are not working.
And yes I checked the ground

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

My buddy put those rally wheels on his 68 SWB. Ordered a set of clips that bolt in where the 3 screws that hols the rally cap go on. Has a set of mid 50s Chev pickup caps coming to install. Painted the wheels whits with a narrow trim ring. Will try to get a pic in a week or two when all together. I think they will look really good.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

Finished the CPP disc brake upgrade on my 1965 Short Step. Captainfab firewall adapter plate, 1995 Blazer brake booster and MC, Speedway pushrod extender with Heim joint, Summit Racing brake bias (but has Wilwood name - cast into the metal) so I can fine tune the rear brakes.

Out of curiosity, what are you doing for the clutch cylinder that would usually be part of the master cylinder? I'd like to move away from the single reservoir my 60 GMC has.

thanks!

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

I took the brake pedal bracket from inside the cab, laid in on carpet sideways.
Installed the brake pedal spring and return bumper.
Mounted captainfabs bracket to it.
Mounted the power brake booster to that.
Then built out the brake pedal pushrod to the correct length, with adjustment left of course.
That way I didnt have to do it in the truck after their done painting it.
Just wish I took pictures.

Finally got the crossmember parking brake set up remove, cleaned up and re-installed and I have a parking brake now!

I'm pretty sure I put everything back correctly.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

My hair and clothes are filled with rust dust and paint flakes from repainting the interior roof and rear panels.
Looks nice, though. Maybe a pic tomorrow.
I need to shower.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part IV

I was getting tired of the worn out 62 steering wheel. especially the turn signal switch. It seemed never to work right. So I broke down and bought and installed a new I did it steering column. One of the best things I did to the truck!
