Re: "The Convict"

Dropped my trans off with a different guy today, little more but he will warranty. Hoping to have it in the truck by Saturday. I may have to get a different trans case because one of the bolt holes broke off on mine. I will talk to the trans guy tomorrow and find out.

Re: "The Convict"

Well, got my trans this evening.. Got 4 of 6 bell-housing bolts snug and then the rain come down, so me and my friend Caleb quit for the evening.. I get a new gas tank tomorrow and we will finish that all up. I got 2 free tires for the 15x10s just to see what they look like. I know no one else will like them but I do.. And No I don't want to hear about how dangerous they are.. I have heard it enough. Here is pics. Keep in mind the wheel gap will be smaller.. she didn't have all the weight on her in these pics.

Don't do it! Or the lower air deflector. They just don't look right.

Re: "The Convict"

I personally like the way they look.. I will be getting better tires probably the same size for the front. Also I will be painting the lower deflector to match the grille

This is what it looks like right now, I want better tires for my 15s before I run them.

I have been trying to get rachet mode to work on my shifter all morning. I think my cable is binding up.

Re: "The Convict"

This trans is making me mad. The pan is already leaking. Got under the truck and there is a broken pan bolt.

I lied, trans didn't seal, still haven't taken it back to the guy that built it for him to fix it. I have been through 3 sets of used tires so far.. I have been enjoying the heck out of this thing.. apparently its some what cool because I got a girl friend and she likes it.. I need to get everyone some updated pics. I pulled my cut front springs out anfd replaced them with 4th gen rear f body springs and this thing handles great and it is still lowered 6 inches in the front.. I finally got my monster C notch on the back so I'm gonna lower the back to more inches..

Re: "The Convict"

On the 4th set of used tires... hahah, Hopefully soon I will lower the back a couple more inches. I want to bag the front could anyone give me any pointers? I just want some fairly easy to install, and be able to drop and raise the front..

Sadly, I forgot that I had set the lip down in front of the truck and ran it over.. Ughhh! On another note I am running the 15s now and I love them.

Re: "The Convict"

Q-jet took a crap on me.. got another and same thing. My brother jake has been helping with the truck for years, never road in it though. So he said he would buy me a holley if I pay him back. Now I have a Holley 750 double pumper and it completely changed the whole truck. This thing is a monster. I done a 60 Mph rolling burnout on accident earlier. Truck now feels like it has twice the power and torque it had. I never realised how crappy the quadrajunk was.. I also lowered the back three more inches and got another set of 15x10s similar to the ones that was on the truck when I got it.

Just read thru your thread. It's a good story: He gets the girl and the truck. I look forward to see where you take it from here. You've gotten after it quickly, and covered a lot of ground.
