Your truck looks GREAT!
It's cool you are getting to enjoy it after all that hard work.

Thanks Mike, Likewise with you and your red truck. I've been following your build since the beginning. VERY well done!

I still have a few small things planned for my truck before spring.
* Adding front and rear stainless window trim
* Put in solid back glass in place of the slider
* Have the windows slightly tinted
* Front sway bar (maybe rear also)

Yeah I thought maybe by chance I would catch you there. Everything went together pretty smoothly, still some odds and ends to finish up though.

Thanks guys!

I got my radio plate from board member Mahanian installed. These plates are very nice. It's a simple solution to fix an ugly hacked radio opening like I had. My pictures don't do it justice. But here's a before and after.

Re: 1970 swb c-10

Next steps:
1. Sway bar(s)
2. Lots of miles

Really like your work and the way the truck turned out. Especially like step 2.

Re: 1970 swb c-10

The weather was so nice today I detailed up all of the vehicles. I thought I would share a picture of my truck with my CJ7. Older Jeeps are my 2nd favorite vehicle.

Re: 1970 swb c-10

I finally got around to installing the front and rear CPP sway bars. They seem to be fairly high quality pieces. They should change the description on the front bar to explain that the end links don't work when you are running drop coils. The end links and the tie rods both want to live in the same place. So I did some research on the board and seen where others had just not used the end links. So thats what I did. Seems to work well so far. The rear bar goes on very easily. I was worried that it would hang too low when looking at the truck from the side. But I think I can live with it. I forgot to take pictures while I had it on the lift at my dads. Sorry the pics I took arent the best.

Re: 1970 swb c-10

I went for a drive after putting on just the front sway bar. Then again with both front and rear installed. The front bar makes a huge difference. The rear bar makes only a slight difference as far as I can tell. Makes me wish I would have put a sway bar on this truck years ago.

I'm currently waiting on some parts to do a few more upgrades to the truck. Once everything comes in, I'll post up some pictures.

Re: 1970 swb c-10

I agree,... the front bar is the cheapest mod for these trucks.
Is there any room for the rear bar to mount on TOP of the trailing arms?
Of course, you would have to shorten the end links.

Love your truck!
