Re: My Build Begins!
small update:
due to an unforseen family death and newly arising medical issues havent been able to work on the truck for last 3 weeks.granted the k5 is non-existant compared to family, and we are all pulling to gether and making it thru these tough times.but my k5 is a great source of "stress relief" as im sure most of you feel the same. lots of parts have been accumulating and hope to get some work done onthe holiday weekend. -engine harness is done, had reworked to eliminate some unneded things, add some things, misc.,just need to finish install. -got all the hydro clutch parts to install. -got all my fluids for drivetrain to go in. -got all my coolant hoses. -need to finish hydro steering mounts and such. -got all the parts to finish my fuel system. BUT, there is probably no way its gonna make it to the sept indy 4x4 jambo i had been so trying to make. ill get some pics up in a week or so for an update. thanks andy

I have seen some of your pictures on chucks forum. So did you trade out your wheels and tires or not?

Re: My Build Begins!
all depends....
yeah, its gonna be a big beast. these 7ton axles have 9.34 ratio, and im gonna put these gear chunks into a set of 5ton axle housings, more managable housings, more accessable parts, and still keep the 9.34 gears for these big meats. but im also gettin a set of the 52" michelins mounted so it will still see some street duty!!! till the cops keep me from it!
