Thanks for the comments everyone.

We've been in a cold snap for the last couple weeks with temperatures in the mid -20s so I havent gotten as much as I wanted done.

I order some bags for the front and some shorty headers for the LS. I also got my 24" semi wheels back from the machine shop. they look awesome with the holes bored out and lips cleaned up. Next up are some custom 8 to 10 lug adaptors and tires.

I am wondering how the code504 kit and the airbar clear the bed floor. I have been talking to Chris at Code504 to see how the gastank crossmember clears the floor. what kind of modifications did you have to do or any?

I'm only using the front and rear most bed mounts to mount my bed. The crossmembers in the middle that are provided in the kit dont work with my 4 link kit.

I'll have more photos of the bed in a couple weeks once i get everything figured out.

I planned to do something similar to what ADE used to sell:

3 universal joints and a heim joint to keep it away from the headers. Whats your plan?

most all trucks that have steering not going through header will need this 3 ujoints and a heim joint. heims can be pricey but there are guys on ebay that sell them for like $9 which is a good deal. The ujoints and shafts you can also get off ebay from sellers, I get the stainless ones. So far they seem good. Some guys are extremely picky with steering parts and only by flamming river or borgeson but at 70 bucks or so a pop that adds up. choice is yours. another note of safety is to use a telescopic shaft, but since most these shafts aren't straight to begin with I think the telescopic shaft isn't as necessary as if it was just one long straight shaft which would have better odds of pushing your steering into your face in an accident.

Sorry for the long wait for photos. I've been busy with life.

As I slid the driver door back on the hinges this threaded piece dropped out. It's going to be a hassle to get it back in and secured to the door so I can properly mount and align the door:

I found it on Kijiji. It's a temporary fix. I'll eventually get a custom foam seat upholstered in leather.

84Blaze - My apologies that i havent read through your entire thread yet, bu i have a couple questions:

- What brand of five spoke wheels are on your Blazer? I like the spoke color and the rounded center caps.

- Why did your 24" rims go to a machine shop? Was it just polishing or some other mod?

The wheels on my blazer are Coys C5 in gunmetal grey. They are 18x7 and 20x8.5. I love them!

I had my 24s machined because they have an original diameter of 24.5. I had the beads knocked down by 1/4 all the way around so I can run conventional 24" low profile tires. I also had large holes bored in them and the rears faced so they will truck under my bed sides.

I ordered some 8-10 Lug adaptors and some 2" 8-8 spacers for the dually. I also dropped my wheels off for polishing and a clear powdercoat. I hope to have them on the truck with tires shortly after Easter. Stay tuned!

The 49' project has had some decent progress in the last couple weeks.

I cleaned up the front panel on my bed.





I traced out both bed sides to clear the wheels I plan on running







I also cut my rusty green fenders down for inner fenders. They are roughly cut to size. Once I lay wood in the bed I do some fine tuning to them!

The medical box in the bed will be used to house all my air ride components. I will be running copper hardline within. I got some tank and compressor brackets made by Overkill Customs out of Alberta, Canada. They are currently at the powder coater getting some gunmetal grey colour.





My welder sprang a leak in its original 3/16 gas line. I had to run some adaptors to run a new 1/4 line, which is now industry standard.



This little Miller 140 is perfect for what I'm doing!



Truck is loosely mocked up. I just bought a couple bags of bolts to hard mount everything.



My bed is mounted much like Hussey mounted his. I mounted my angle iron 5' up from the bottom of the bed sides. It seemed to work with the code 504 kit. I still have to add a couple more cross bars and figure out how to use some of the code504 mounting brackets that came with the kit.

I noticed one of my upper arms had a bend in it, but I managed to straighten it out!



I dont really like the colour but my lower arms are already powdercoated so I decided to match them.





Lots of $$$ in this picture. Belltech (Blazer) spindles, Air Lift bags, Thorbecke uppers and lowers (sway bar and shock mounts), Thorbecke bag cups, LSoH no toe kit, and a ZQ8 Sway bar.





She's coming together guys!







Other than getting the truck pieced together not much else is new with it.
