Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Today i got my fuel rail covers these covers capture the original styling of the Chevrolet small block valve cover with its raised fins and classic Corvette script. I got these custum painted to match the ride.
They look sweet! Last edited by smokedat; 10-08-2010 at 02:26 PM. |

I used rubber efi fuel line (with high presure clamps) on 5.0 swaps in mustangs and it holds up great. One of my builds is at about 7 years old with no issues.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Well I have all the parts needed but Im being held back because I'm moving by the end of this month and I will need the truck to haul. I also need to get my paint, I want to paint the engine bay, fire wall, inner fenders ,wheel wells, and the radiator core support before I drop the engine. Once I do start I will keep the pictures coming.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Holy cow that's a lotta bling! I'd like to know your opinion on what the effect of sucking all that heat through the split intake has on performance one it is up and running. Do you plan on doing a dyno tune once it's done?
Looking sweet, love the truck too!

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
I may have clearance issues with this Y intake, I just may run a single. I will do a dyno to fine tune and get the most out of it and to know exactly what the numbers are.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Today I sent my harness and computer to get re tuned at Wait 4 Me Performance. They offer free retunes for life, just in case if you do any changes.
Tuning for smog exempt as I will not be running all the smog items, and tuning in accodance to the new cam specifications, will result in more power and better gas milelage. Overall more efficient. Link http://www.wait4meperformance.com/ Last edited by smokedat; 01-19-2010 at 07:47 PM. |

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne
Are you able to tell, with the S&P headers, if there will be any clearance issues on the passenger side if the rubber engine mount were to be moved back 2" from where the S&P plate would normally locate them? Thanks!

You probably already know this but depending on the year of the LS motor it will have different exhaust manifolds, Stock the ones that have the heat shroud over them will not fit on the passenger side, will need to be grinded down about 1/4" |

This is the newest take on orange from the General, and it can be found on '08 Corvettes. It's called Atomic Orange (code 83), and it's a few shades lighter than the previous year's Daytona Orange (code 71). Will be dropping an LS1 on it to.
