Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way

I do have a B&M but it's a 3spd version, guess it's going over to the parts section now...

White faced dash I've been saving awhile just for this build.

Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way

Looks like the same thing I have. Was using it on the TH350 and now the 700r4. There's a pin that needs to be removed on the shifter mechanism to let you ratchet down 1 more notch to work in a 4sp. Then all you need is a new label for the face...$10 or $12, I think.

Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way

So that is what clean concrete looks like, hmmm, mine is so covered with gear oil drip marks and spilled motor oil, etc - nice to see that concrete doesn't actually start off looking all stained.

Cool to see the progress!

That looks like a pretty sweet mancave. Those higher side walls will really payoff

WOW!! Tons of storage. Are you gonna put a loft upstairs or just use it for parts and stuff?

Turned out to be the most efficient way, used 8ft dimensional 2x6's on a 16" footer w/double top & bottom plates gave me a 9ft 8" ceiling height.

Just storage, there will be a 4'x4' gable end door on the driveway side and a standard size pass through door off the deck.

Can't wait to get all my trucks parts into one consolidated area...

Nice addition to the house, it really fits with pitch matching the house. Would make a nice snowboard hill...enjoy your new space.Almost back to the build?

Getting ever closer.

Have a bench I want to build and still have lots of 'arranging' to do but yeah...I'm considering bringing the blazer home if not today, very soon.

Priced out the roll up doors last week too...

Blazer update:
Received the 4spd tilt column this week.

Re: Building a Blazer - vtblazer's Way

The auto shifter you have (3-speed) only needs the shift plate replaced, give Summit a call and they can send it out, it was like $15, the shifter and everything else is the same, the pattern is on the plate, so don't sell it!!

Things are coming along nicely.

Looks like you'll have to hire an electrician next.

That's funny, here I was wishing I was a mod of the Blazer section - I'd give Kurt a 2 day suspension so fast his head would spin for hi-jacking his own thread!

I'm so impressed with how fast the shop is coming together - very cool
