Re: 67 long box
I forgot to mention how great my cab dolly system works. I can roll it around as well as roll it over to front or back. Made my job a whole lot easier.

Re: 67 long box
That is a really trick cab dolley stand. Any problems rolling it over on the forks so you can get to the bottom?

Re: 67 long box
I put a set of C-clamps on the wheels and roll it over. Nose down on the floor or it rolls on the tubes without touching the body to the back side. The tubes rest on the floor but the body doesn't hit the tubes. I can tilt it to the nose and back myself but need a second set of hands to tilt backwards .

Re: 67 long box
cab interior painted and fire wall. It's ready to sit on the frame, so it's time to bring in the frame. I reached a milestone today and is a good day. It's funny I was a body man, a sheet metal worker, a metal fabricator, mechanic, media blaster, and now a painter. I still have to be a mechanic, wiring specialist, an assembler and body fitment specialist, glass installer and paint buffer. It's a good thing I don't have a sewing machine or I would do that to.
Any progress is progress. |

Re: 67 long box
steering column disassembled and painted, wheel turned out great. Filled the shifter opening in the column and cut off the shift arms on the bottom so it looks like a factory floor shift. door hinges got a coat of blue as well.

Looking really good! What did you use to repair the cracks in the steering wheel?

Re: 67 long box
I sure am grateful for the digital camera, it makes it easy to remember reassembly when I take pics before disassembled.

Re: 67 long box
Yeah the frame looks really good. How many hours a week are you putting into the build?

Re: 67 long box
Thanks I try to get at least a couple hours a day, some days more some days none. My wife said she'll see me after the build. I get pretty involved once I start working and I plan ahead so the next day is productive. I don't drink beer which I heard slows build progress so this helps
