just think of the country that you would see and all of the trucks and people along the way. it would be like an adventure and then you could write a book about it. that would cover all your expensives

Re: 60-66 crew cabs or extended cabs

Done the drive a few times. I did pro rodeo for 6 years (bullriding/bronc riding).. Even made it to Calgary once. Getting there is easier than the return trip cost wise. If somebody was coming this way though...Ill keep it in mind. I use to drive from Virginia to Montana in 32hr straight through. Was a rough trip...several times

Re: 60-66 crew cabs or extended cabs

Ya know , that is one thing we need on this website is a hauling schedule or transport page .. I have seen them on other websites ,it would be to our advantage to start one , that way if someone finds a truck in another state , and needs it transported and someoene happens to be coming this way with a trailer it just makes sense to haul a load on the way out ... here is a link to one on a tractor site http://www.ytmag.com/cgi-bin/haulquery.pl
maybe an administrator will see this ....I have one to be picked up in NC right now....

Re: 60-66 crew cabs or extended cabs

I asked about one with "the big cheese" about 6 months ago and was told that there used to be one and it didn't get used very much. Now, I think people use the "general" section to post this type of thing. I thought the same thing after seeing something similar on ih8mud.

He only has the stepside and the stretched burb for sale, but go through Sacramento, CA craigslist ads. They're in there.

Re: 60-66 crew cabs or extended cabs

It's listed at $7,500.00 but it's been reposted several times and needs the Three in the tree connected/looked at so can't hurt to make an offer. Although my Druthers would be to restore her as is. There must be alot of history there

w/shields must be a major undertaking for these vehicles as there are quite a few chopprd ones but very little with w/shields in them

yep I have one of those too, I can either go to billings or portland to get one made which is almost the same distance to trailer at $3+ a gallon, plus the cost of multiple winshields, and the cost of the labor.... quite an expensive undertaking.

Re: 60-66 crew cabs or extended cabs

I know I'm bringing back a zombie thread, but is anyone selling a quad cab? I am in the market for a 60-66 truck to make a hot rod hauler. I also have a car that i'd be interested in trading for the right one if you'd rather do that .

this is probably the wrong site for it but it's a chopped '49 ford
