Pic of Tom wearing new shoes.

I doubt I'll wind up using these Intros on Tom, but I wanted to get an idea of what he'd look like with some bling. When I get him dropped, it's going to make a ton of difference.

I thought about taking a picture of it, but there's nothing appealing about a truck that looks like it has a load in its shorts.

The rear is 5" lower in back and the front is still the same, so it's not much to look at. I'm ordering the other two Pentias and will be running those on Tom for a while.

Re: US Tom

Nice ! If you go with a different rim, will you still go chrome? I think a chrome or polished rim will go great with the satin paint.

Surgery begins this weekend, but waiting on parts to finish up. Trying to decide if I will go static or bagged.

Will probably go with Coys C5's that I already have. I'll put them on and take pics.

Or I could use the Grand Sport Corvette wheels....

Re: US Tom

Man that is one tall 2 wheel drive haha. Are you planning on putting the 275s on the narrower front wheels? That's what i was planning on doing if I had kept them. I am thinking of putting 305s or even 315s on mine in the back. Truck is looking nice will look great when you get it out of the clouds

Interesting logic there, John. The static drop should be in the range of 5/7 if that makes any difference.

It is abnormally tall, isn't it? Well, not much longer.
Yes, 275's up front. Before I got these I was going to use 255's. I'll probably use 295's out back. I kinda like the look of the big lip on the front wheel too.The GS wheels have 275's all the way around and that's a 17x10" rim.

Truth is I dont know very much about lowering, besides it looks cool ! in my mind I figured a static drop wouldnt ride as low as bagged. so I thought the GS wheels would look best riding super low. 5/7 is pretty low, and the GS would look great, and be different. coys look really good too, but there everywhere.

Re: US Tom

Pretty nice day out, so I went to the shop first and saved the mowing for this evening. Got the 5" drop springs installed along with the adjustable trac bar. This is the first time I've used the lift to do work - a lot nicer than lying on the driveway, but I sure got tired of knocking my gourd on things.

Bottom line is busting nuts loose that have forty years of rusty crap on them isn't fun. Broke one bolt and used a grinder to get another. Tough work, yet oddly fun too.

I think I'll go ahead and throw the 13" brakes on the front of this, new booster and master cylinder. I'll replace the brake lines while I'm at it, add rear brakes and some handling bits from Hotchkiss or Ride Tech.

I may be selling it, but I'm going to have some fun with it first.

Pix as requested, but framed to keep the unlowered unseen.

After

I'm going to install the front end stuff and then decide if it needs blocks or not.
