Re: Company Trucks

Did you use CLR to rub the fender? I have been trying CLR with zero luck. Diluted, non-diluted, with and without scotch brite pads. I can't get the results I see everybody else getting.

Re: Company Trucks

LEEVON, the fender in the picture was just using straight buffing compound with a variable speed polisher and wool wheel. I used different speeds, let it dry then dry buffed. I tried different methods on other fenders but the end result was almost the same as with just the buffing compound. It was a fairly aggressive compound though.

Hope that helps.

We will let this message serve as exhibit A into evidence if something should happen to you after you start on the 55 project.

If it helps we woud love to see you build a 55 (1st series).

My wife said that, too. Then I brought the 50 home from Dad's. She doesn't"love" it, but she's okay with it.

Re: Company Trucks

Well my ADHD has kicked in and I started a small fun project. Went and picked up a 6.5 hp harbor freight special, some chromoly tubing, stopped by the local karting shop and got some goodies. Bam the makings of a motorized #drifttrike. I saw this in hotrod magazine and thought it looked cool. Anyway should have some truck updates soon.

Look on YouTube. Here is one example.
Didn't mean to side track you. I thought it was just me that always seems to find another project before I finish the last one. LOL

Can I ask what a going rate it for the kart wheels and tires? I've have a project on the back burner but haven't pulled the plug on the wheels and tires. Also which shop did you go to in the kc area?

Nate I will find the receipt and verify but it's around $100 - 120 per wheel/tire combo depending on size and compound.

Oh and I went to Russell Karting. They had everything in stock so I paid a little more to solve my inability to wait. LOL

What's your back burner project? Motorized pedal car or something cool like that?

Re: Company Trucks

For all the guys (and girls in my kids case) that had Big Wheels. Daughters were absolutely fearless; especially on hills. I remember always replacing the wheels on them. I remember renting similar setups for the Oregon dunes in the 60's before ATV were manufactured. They only had a 4 horse briggs engine but were still fun.

Re: Company Trucks

Ok since its my thread I will be high jacking it from time to time as I don't intend on doing a full blown Alternate Tinkering thread. Spent the last night drawing the first renderings of the Drift Trike. There has been tons of interest so I thought I would share my concept. I have a lot more but this will give you an idea of what I'm doing.
