Looks great man!

Couple of questions... You adding the front side marker lights? Also, why did they stripe the hood and then respray it all orange?

Congrats! You're a lot closer to being done than a lot of us.

Re: College restoration. My 71 c10

Brought the truck back this weekend and started wiring it up! Been using a painless wiring harness and its been pretty straight forward. Accomplishing a lot of little tasks like putting in the windshield wiper motors, the wiper assembly, and the trash guards. Installed the AC under the dash, and started on the inner fenders. The inner fenders are going to be tough, the fitment between my repop fenders and the stock inner fenders is a little tough.

Thank you. So I am planning to add side markers to the truck. I am not sure about your question regarding the hood. The hood was painted orange just one time, and there are no stripes on the hood. So essentially what the paint shop did is they painted the truck orange, then lined it up and painted on the white stripe.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

I was referring to your post #107...looked like the hood had some white on it, but could have been masking I guess.

Yeah I belevie that it was just the different layers of plastic that was on it in the paint booth. It would be an interesting hood stripe if I had actually had it painted on there lol.

The truck has made some major progress. The body and engine wiring are complete.Casey at mail order tuner wrapped up the engine wiring, and get the truck running! Very happy with the way the build is coming together. Here's a photo of my gauges, I went with dakota digital and I really like them.

Re: College restoration. My 71 c10

Here's a link to a video of there truck on the Dyno. The engine was wired and tuned by Casey at Mail Order Tuner over in Temple, Tx. Casey and his guys have done a phenomenal job, they got to work quickly and had expertise that was priceless. Casey is great at communication, which is important to a gear head like me probing for updates almost weekly. Truck made 465HP to the wheels. I have seriously been debating setting the sweet sweet sound of my LS at 5,500rmp as my morning alarm.

Been doing a lot of finishing of the truck recently. Relocated the computer to under the dash, finishing the wiring, and put the doors together. Lots has been going on.

Pictures of the mirrors I installed. It was pretty nerve racking to drill holes through such a perfectly painted door.

Some pictures of the current state of the interior. Finished out the doors. I pulled out the original sun visors and cleaned them up, here's a picture of one I cleaned and the other I pulled out of the barn. Needless to say there was a good amount of dust that had accumulated.

Re: College restoration. My 71 c10

Took the truck out for a test drive today. I finished up the brake lights, turn signals, drove down to the 7/11 to put some air in the tires, and some other odds and ends. By no means am I done or is the truck road worthy, but it sure was fun getting to go on a little cruise. Here's a video of the truck idling before went out for a cruise. The chop sounds MEAN https://youtube.com/shorts/6uDmR35vVQM

Great build. Motor sounds great.
One thing I would reconsider is the location of your fuses/relays. I rarely access the computer, but the fuses need to be where you can check them easily. When you get your A/C hoses and glove box in place there will be virtually no access.

Re: College restoration. My 71 c10

Some photos of my interior progress. I installed a new 1-piece carpet from LMC. I originally was going to put the stock bucket seats in to the truck. However, as I did more research I found that I lacked the necessary braces and bolt holes from the factory for bucket seats. I ended up going with a Buddy Bucket. I got the frame from slosh tubz the "Slosh buckets". I had the seat upholstered at PG upholstery here in Fort Worth. The guys did a great job and were very reasonable with their prices. I love the seats and having cup holders, a phone tray, storage, and the ability to seat 3 if need be. The new seats bolted right into my existing bench seat bolt holes and the installation was a breeze.

Those buckets are great. Good choice over the console style.

Thank you I really like them. Aside from the added benefits of the console, and cup holders I am really happy with the design. One of the things I didn't really like about the stock seats was the lack of bolstering. Take a corner too tight and you could slide right off the seat! These new ones have some pretty nice bolstering to them, very comfortable while still holding you firmly in the seat.

My Dad really outdid himself this time and overhauled the entire exhaust system. Including an X-pipe and Flowmaster FX mufflers. Truck sounds great, nice muscle rumble at idle, quiet at cruising speed, and really comes alive at 3,500+

I have to agree! That's some fine work indeed. If you don't mind and it's not a hassle, I'd like to see how he handled the pipes getting past the rear axle.
