Re: post up your camping pics
great place to ride. sadly i killed my beloved 12 yr old canon sure-shot
battery's in the go-pro died, so i switched to one handed riding bs again & was video'ing the fam damily in a field, raced ahead for a better shot....did'nt see the half buried log in the grass......on the plus side i got a vid of the camera's last few seconds of life......(but wife does not want it posted, she's in it-bummer!) |

Man I wish mine could fish like that! They just like to lick the heads once they die.
Or roll in their dead carcass and smell it all up. |

Re: post up your camping pics
thanks guys!
dawg has been fishing since he was a pup, he's pretty good at it. i've taken him to the river & some days he puts all the anglers to shame... i let him & Dixie keep this one a few yrs ago....('bout a 20 pounder) |

Re: post up your camping pics
I had to put down my big 120 pound boy a couple years back, cried like a baby. I'm sure diesel owns your heart like my boy Zak did. We buried him in our acreage's front yard and planted a tree over him, my 8 year old twins call it the Zak tree and they are sure he still looks over our yard. I totally can see that diesel will hold that same love from your family .

Re: post up your camping pics
yeah bilfman, he's my bestest buddy in the whole world! spent more time with him in the last 10 yrs than any human (more enjoyable..) he goes pretty much everywhere with us
i've been trying to keep him real busy the last 10 months since Dixie passed away last yr.. it has affected him BIG time losing his life-long partner....so i try to take him out alot & keep his mind off it. she's sleeping in our back yard, and yeah, i snivelled like a baby when she went.... dreading the day when dawg joins Dixie digging for bones in that big kennel in the sky.... |

Dieseldawg142 that is some beautiful country you live in, I always enjoy your pictures. I would love to go camping in that area, maybe one day. Awesome dog you have there as well.

Re: post up your camping pics
Alright Bilfman, sounds like time for a build thread. Another 4x 3+3 is exciting.

Re: post up your camping pics
I'll definitely post a thread. I love the 1 ton 4x4z . No plans on this one being too pretty, just a beastly functional workhorse.

Re: post up your camping pics
a couple of Jamie Davis's old trucks from Highway Thru Hell (we pass his yard on the way home)
Rescue 150, the converted fire truck behind the old Western and Bruce's old Heavy Rescue 50 peterbilt. it was pretty famous on the Coquihalla long before it was on the show in it's better days (local truck show) after running the Coke for awhile, looking a little beat... |

Re: post up your camping pics
thanks f.i.d.!
one last trip up the mountains for '015 mt macfarlane, looks soft but the roads are just about sheer ice, still under outflows, mid 20's wife got me one of them cheap mediasonic dash cams, works surprisingly good, but it was getting weird glare off the ice and snow, but for $40, does not bad the border peaks |

Re: post up your camping pics
road in aint too bad, lots of deep potholes & ruts from open diff guys clawing their way up. pretty slick too, was sliding around a bit, but the BF's were working good today...
almost thought dawg was going to get a hare, until it cranked up the speed & showed diesel how old he is... good way to spend the day, and the REAL reason we came up here...bumper ski |

Re: post up your camping pics
back down at the river, could'nt belive how many trees actually came down during last months storm. hit a one mile long stretch of debris, realistically about 15-20 loads, & the bridge across the river is only a mile away.
