A couple of in progress pics hours before the wedding. Still holding up hope that it will be in attendance. And one of my brother's family after graduating teacher's college yesterday.

Hopefully when he gets back from his Honeymoon we will get some outside pics...
I must admit- This truck is an inspiration...and what a great alternative to a new truck...

Luckily, my wife didn't have to contend with that truck when we were newlyweds!! She would have divorced me for sure, because I would have spent all my time in the truck!!!

I just rolled back in from the honeymoon. over 2000 km's in less than 2 days coming home but it was still fun. We took a friends '82 El Camino SS and had a great time. We even got to meet up with 1968GMC in Quebec and I got to check out his truck, it is even nicer in real life than it is in the pics. Anyways I have to get to bed, to actually sleep as I have to work in the morning. I will post some wedding pics of the truck and some pics of the el camino from all over the east coast when I have a couple of minutes.

It was just a little local one, probably around 45 cars & trucks there last night, including 3 late model el caminos (including our SS). We are going to the car show in Cannington on Sunday as well if you aren't busy. The Monday nite cruise that I was at is on Hwy 35 at Sirvivor's Restaurant.

Don't feel too bad. If my truck makes it the doors will be kept shut and the windows up since I haven't touched it in almost 3 weeks except to clean it twice.

I have been swamped lately and have been trying to break the truck in, probably got over 200 miles on it now, still with no gauges, interior (except for the front seats) and no fuel filler pipe. I have to get into the back of the truck and fill the tank through a hole in the box right now. Oh well, I am on my way to town with it and I will clean it up and take some pics of it outside. Also the wedding photographer got some good pics of it at the church.

Here are some pics that my best friend's mom took when I was arriving at the church in the truck, and a couple of after with everyone looking at it.

I realize that it wasn't a chevy but sometimes we all have to bend the rules, this is Sharon and I leaving the church in a borrowed 1954 Packard Carribean from a good friend of the family. And the line of the cars while we where getting our pictures done at the lake in town.
Left to right: '54 Packard, my truck and my middle brother's '68 Ford Custom. In behind the Packard is my oldest brother's '68 Ford F-100 shortbox that came out of its 10 year hibernation for the wedding. He painted it and updated the mechanics and is now finally driving it again. |

Thanks Martin, we really enjoyed meeting you as well. The truck is huge but I have my commercial truck license so I am used to driving bigger units. It sure is an attention getter, everywhere I go people are always asking questions about her. I wish that I could have taken it east for the honeymoon but it just wasn't pratical or safe.
I would love to hit Syracuse and I even convinced my dad and another friend into going but I have to work every Saturday and some Sundays so I doubt that I will be in attendance, but I am doing my best, whats the date again? Also let me know if and when you are in my neck of the woods and we will meet up. |
